Been Seeing Dr Cabaccan for over a decade
I've been a diabetes patient of his for over 10 years. Working with him I have had my diabetes in check for many years and have had no diabetic health issues. I check in with him every 3 months, follow his guidance and am very pleased with the support and health guidance he has provided. I have referred several friends to him and all are very pleased with his care compared to what they were receiving.

Great doc with maybe a little thin skin
Dr. Cabaccan is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. He resolved my parathyroid issues and saved me from an unnecessary surgery. Initially I was skeptical of his treatment plan and told him so as it did not fit with what I had been told by other docs. I argued, and he took offence at my attitude, but in the end I listened and I will gladly and thankfully admit he was right. Issue simply resolved - no surgery. Staff OK, office OK, Great doc with maybe a little thin skin. He demands respect and insists you listen. I'm glad I did.

Waste of time and energy
Working with Mr Cabaccan feels like dealing with an immature and rude child. I arrived early to my 7:30AM appointment and was not seen by Mr Cabaccan until 8:40AM. Then during my time with him, he would get frustrated and talk over me whenever I would ask a question and he would bring up irrelevant comments about how he works with the trans community, which had nothing to do with me. Mr Cabaccan also yelled at me for trying to get clarification. Mr Cabaccan stated he would only help me after I did additional 6 weeks of lab testing before 8AM although I already came with labs. I just completed multiple of his requested labs and received a letter from his office today stating I needed to find a new provider because he won’t see me anymore even though the labs proved a need for medical attention. What was the point of having me do the labs? Huge waste of time and energy.

Extremely emotional and unprofessional
Cabaccan needs more training on how to properly and professionally treat patients. He becomes emotional whenever a question or rebuttal about his comments are made. Cabaccan yelled at me when I asked him questions about his statements and then he began comparing me to other patients and making ridiculous accusations. He seems very entitled and needs to learn how to control his temper. I truly believe some customer service or communication training would be beneficial to him, his office, and the patients that are willing to go to him. I would not recommend him to anyone I care about.

He is absolutely wonderful! Sometimes when he wants to emphasize how if I take my insulin at a certain time or eat certain foods versus others he will often seem headstrong; however I have under his care lost over 45 pounds and have cut down from using three different insulins during the week to one with the other only as emergency backup which I haven't needed for two months. I had a Stanford doctor who looked at my chart, she told me what was wrong with me and the things that I had done wrong all in a calm non emotional voice and she walked out. I got a call from an insulin pump salesperson- I went back to Dr. Cabaccan as soon as I switched insurance policies. I never ever will switch from Dr. Cabaccan he is the kindest doctor and except for 3 months I have been seeing him for over 15 years.

Angry DOC
Not good, he yelled at me and told me he didn’t want to be my doctor, because I asked him to focus on the positive things I accomplished with this visit. He leaned over and started screaming at me. I will never go back to him. Plus he at least 30 min late for every appointment.

I do not often write reviews, but I took time out of my busy schedule to write a deserving one. I couldn’t agree more with the comments I read here with staff being rude. I have never experienced and witnessed a doctor’s office who treats their patients so rudely until yesterday. I called to schedule an appointment for my dad and talked to Isabel. She was extremely rude and not personable at all. She should never be in this industry. With her unacceptable demeanor, I do not think she’ll fit in any industry. She seems annoyed and hates her job so much that she takes it out on patients. She needs to understand that patients who go to that office are not well and she should be more compassionate. Bad business practice. The management needs to take this feedback seriously. This is extremely sad knowing that there are individuals who treats people this way. Isabel needs to take a training course and learn the importance of telephone etiquette, professionalism, and the definition of customer service. The doctor is not the problem. He is awesome, but the staff who works for him needs immediate attention.

No Respect
I was kept waiting over an hour and rushed when the doctor finally saw me. After blowing up my whole day for this appointment, I left without having all my questions answered or much else to show for it except a follow up appointment in 6 months.

dont go to him
if you are referred to this office, please contact your insurance and get a new doctor. he has been taking care of my family member for a year. and we are the idiots for not firing him sooner. His office is completely disorganized as his thought process. I am sure he knows how to manage simple endocrine issues like diabetes or thyroid, but anything more complex than that you need to go else where. He frequently Lies and shifts blames to others, he gets aggressive and defensive if you challenge him on anything.

I like dr Cabaccan and feel he is very knowledgeable and has a good bedside manner. I also received a letter dropping me as a patient with no explanation. When I called his office to ask why, they put me on hold for 20 min before I hung up. I’ve called multiple times leaving messages, with no response. Luckily my issue does not need immediate attention. Don’t recommend at this time.

I always enjoyed my visits with Dr. Cabaccan and found him very easy to work with and always offered me the latest information to treat my diabetes. That said I just received a notice from his office that I was being dropped as a patient without any explanation. I'm in shock and am scrambling to find another endocrinologist before my medications run out. I feel like I've been left out in the cold. Proceed with caution.

Dr Cabaccan is treating me for osteoperosis and thyroid issues. He found a treatment for my osteoperosis that was very difficult to get my insurance company to pay for and I'm one of very few patients that have used it. The results have been better than I could have hoped for. He answers all my questions and seems to be well acquainted with my issues when I go in for a visit.
