Not impressed
This DR. Was not only running 45 minutes late, he was rude, rushed and handled us with non-care during our initial appt. I also found him to be extremely unprofessional in the manner he spoke to myself and my 11yo. I'm hoping our follow up appt goes differently or I'll be switching offices and practitioners.

Finally, a doctor who understood me
I love Dr. Alimasuya. I have been with him for 11 years and his treatment plans and follow ups have been great. He used a genetic testing called Gene Sight to help determine which medications could be most effective for me. After getting the results, he built a new cocktail of meds to treat my bipolar 1 disorder and I have been stable ever since. I highly recommend Dr. A and his office.

I feel so stupid for not checking reviews first. I was seen by Dr. Fox under Alimasuya and she never remembered me and constantly pushed for medication increases or different medication all together (specifically Lemictol). She even tried increasing a medication after telling me it would increase suicidal thoughts. They will NEVER return your calls even if you leave a message. After Dr. Fox left, they never offered me a new doctor. I've been trying to reach them for a week to refill my Prozac and make a new appointment. Instead of returning my calls, they just denied it to the pharmacy. Still haven't heard from them. Please do not trust them as a reliable psychiatrist!

It's nearly impossible to get prescriptions refilled. You'll have to call multiple times a month and hope they forward messages. I'm switching doctor's.

I don't usually write reviews but Dr. Alimasuya really helped me with my problems, and I truly appreciate it. Dr. Alimasuya is a great physician who listens carefully, spends time and doesn't rush! I love to be well informed about every detail of all the choices I have which he caters to. He also does an option with Zoom which is convenient for me. I am surprised that there are complaints about his staff but I didn't experience any issues, his office is very neat and well taken care of.

Probably the worst doctor I have ever had. He listened to what my mother had to tell him and diagnosed me off what she said before even confirming it with me. This, putting me on medication that made me lose my clear skin for the rest of my life and have neurological damage. I would not recommend this doctor he’s only in it for the money. I wrote a review before and he threatened me to take it down. Needless to say I’m happy with my new doctor.

I do not recommend seeing this physician. He spends most of the appointment on his computer. He’s more concerned about liability than his patient. He had someone sit in on the appointment without an introduction or statement of purpose. He’s unprofessional. Don’t waste your time.

My son as been struggling with ADHD and has seen other doctors, but this doctor was a life changer. My son is doing much better now in school and in life. This doctor is the best in his field and would recommend him to anyone. He explains everything and listens to your concerns. He doesn't just give you any kind of medications. He does a test called GeneSight and helps you with what medications that will work. Thank you Alimasuya for everything.

Doctor Joseph Alimasuya cares about his job, and I can respect that. But that is the ONLY thing he cares about when you talk to him. Research, lectures, he's a teacher. I've had this psychiatrist since 2016, and it was going relatively well at the time. In retrospect? All I need, or ever needed from him, was emails. Everything that was talked about in appointments could have been more easily explained through emails. Completely wastes our time and money. (thirty dollar co-pay. $30. ???) -Gabe

Dr. Alimasuya was very kind and professional during my visit. He takes the time to listen and explain his reasoning for prescriptions. He gives you as much time as you need and his staff are all very friendly. Wait times are minimal, usually only 5-10 minutes.

Doctor Alimasuya was not professional in any way. I have learning disabilities and ask simple questions a lot. I also suffer from severe panic disorder and have a hard time in public. Every question I asked, he responded by rolling his eyes at me. I tried to explain that I was confused and did not understand and he would just respond by rolling his eyes at me and even looking to my husband for support in his unprofessional actions. My husband was baffled by this doctor as well. DO NOT RECOMMEND
