It's always a pleasure visiting Dr. Joe's office. I get right in at my appointment, and everyone is courteous and respectful. The office is clean and neat.

Dr. Joe performed my second total knee surgery on 8-25-20. Going to Dr. Joe is like dealing with a trusted family member. Indeed he is part of the "family business" and comes from talented orthopedists. I appreciate the "best practices" he has establish for his patients. His support team will provide you with a detailed booklet that will explain the overall process. His hospital based team including a Discharge Planner will review what to expect upon discharge and make sure everything is set up for home recovery. The Home based team will work with until you are ready to start out patient Physical Therapy. You can tell from his years of experience it has led him to provide such excellent care. I felt confident every "step of the way" ! I have booked a pilgrimage on the El Camino next year. It will be a 300 mile walk and I confident that I can know tackle this goal. Thank you Dr. Joe and team !!!

After recommending surgery, no explanations of what to expect after surgery as far as recovery, crutches, or rehab. No paperwork of post op rehab or movement recommendations. No follow up or phone call after surgery. Just scheduled a follow up two weeks after surgery. Not as thorough of a surgeon as I expected, especially from reading the other reviews. I have had phenomenal surgeons that have incredible abilities, professional care, authentic human connection and bed side manor. Dr. Joe is lacking. Appointments had a wait time of 30 min. or more. He is very nice and friendly.

I had a knee replacement just 8 weeks ago and could not be more pleased. Dr. Joe is great at his profession. I need to have my other knee done and plan to do so in a few months . I wouldn't trust anybody else but dr. Joe. The office staff are so nice and helpful especially Chad with the great sense of humor.

Dr. Joe has got to be the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I've had 3 knee surgeries all done by Dr. Joe. His professionalism and expertise are second to none. He is excellent in what he does and truly has a desire to do well by his patient. Very down to earth and willing to tell you the tough truth if he feels as though you need to hear it to improve. HIGHLY recommend!

I had not one but two problems with my shoulder. Turns out I had not only a torn rotator cuff but also a torn bicep tendon. Really bad news for a guy who works out , plays the drums and loves to golf. Dr. Joe to the rescue - he had me in and out of the hospital in no time, and with the most professional and kind, caring staff as well. His is a first class operation , which is no doubt why you see all these great reviews ... well except for one. I guess the world is full of Eeyore's

Dr. Joe has done my knee for a meniscus repair and most recently a bicep tendon tear for me. He did such a great job and my knee, sometimes I forget which knee it was. My biceps tendon repair has been outstanding. I would recommend Dr. Joe to all my family and friends

Dr Assenmacher has proved that the radiologists are usually wrong. Twice they read my MRI's and were absolutely wrong. I trust Dr Joe's opinion and would never doubt his judgement. His staff is very courteous and very helpful. Would always recommend his practice.

Dr. Joe is direct and to the point; yet is quick to recognize when he needs to reassure his patient. He and his team works to help with insurance needs. I couldn't have been more pleased with the care I received from Dr. Joe and his entire team. (Total hip replacement )

Dr. A. is an alright guy. He never follows up with you. He did a minor surgery on me and there was never a follow up. When you do go back they put you in with that Chad Nieman guy. I don't care for him at all.! He acts like he knows everything and doesn't know anything. I would never recommend going here They never called with tests results or surgery results. Stay away from this place. I went the other way towards Cleveland doctors. Very satisfied!

Dr Assenmacher determined I had a frozen left shoulder and suggested the procedure that would benefit me the most. The procedure went extremely well and I couldn't be happier with the result. My arm function improved greatly after the procedure and physical therapy will improve it even more. I have heard different stories about this and believe me I didn't even have a bruise from the procedure. Dr Joe is the best there is and he is a 5 star surgeon and more!

Dr. Joe is the best would recommend him to everyone. He is kind and ver charismatic. Great personality. He has done all my work Rotator cuff repair. Two total knee replacements a hip replacement also a shoulder replacement. One more hip I am the bionic woman.

Second rotator cuff surgery in 11 years. Great job 1st time. Two weeks in and second appears to be doing well. Dr. could not be friendlier and very thorough on his explanations. Office staff at both sites very prompt, courteous and attentive. Could not be happier except for not needing surgery.

Dr Assenmacher listened to the issue and then examined and recommended treatment. He was very professional and courteous.
