Rushed appt.
Dr. Baltz came in apologizing for my wait and then indicated that it had been a busy day. He proceeded to rush my appointment time. I could not shake the feeling that he was hurrying to get to his next appointment. He did not seem prepared for the appointment (he had not looked closely at my records). Dr. Baltz has no computer terminal in the exam room nor did he bring in a laptop. He took a few notes by hand. I would have felt more confident if he had had immediate access to my records. With follow-up I seem to be communicating strictly with his MA; I have the distinct impression that she is in charge. I prefer the MD to be in charge.

Highly recommend
Competent, professional folks … love the combination of Meredith Black as NP and Dr Baltz, working together. Both explain things well, without talking down to me. Several locations available in Memphis. Colonoscopy and endoscopy performed with kindness and care by all staff involved. Photo of Dr. Baltz is about 10 years old, at first I was worried I was seeing someone barely out of school, but he’s got enough experience to make me feel comfortable.

Dr. Baltz takes time to listen and address every concern. He seems to truly care about helping. He has gone out of his way to make sure my insurance covers what I need. He works you in quickly if there has been an unexpected change in status. Dr. Baltz will even personally call to check in with you when you are having a particularly rough patch - to give you lab results and a plan of care or just to see if you’re doing ok and/or need any further help to be well.

Dr. Baltz is great. He is a listener and provides great care. Awesome doctor! I refer anyone who will listen to go see him if they are having gastrointestinal issues, because I know he is going to find an answer and provide great treatment.

I find Dr Blatz to o be refreshingly attentive. I really like and appreciate it that he personally to go over test results. That makes it easier to get answers to questions about anything you don't understand or just want more info about an issue.

Dr Baltz performed my colonoscopy and has seen me for routine GI issues, even while I was pregnant. He spent lots of time with me, listened and made sure I understood everything. He was thorough and did not dismiss my concerns instead being very proactive and making sure I was comfortable with treatments. Wonderfully professional and husband nurses and staff are excellent as well. He was concerned and even took time to call me himself regarding labs and results. Would recommend highly.

I'm feeling better than I've felt in a while thanks to Dr. Baltz. He's gone through great lengths to get me to this point. Not all physicians will call you personally on the ph in between visits to discuss your care. When my insurance company wanted me to try a different med vs the one he recommended he appealed my case and won. His nurse is awesome as well. I would definitely recommend him.

He was incredibly inappropriate and rude. He didn't listen to me. He didn't even ask about my diet or anything, which is VERY important when it comes to GI issues. He was extremely judgmental. He even prescribed me a medicine that I made VERY clear has NEVER worked for me. He was so awful, I had to change doctors. I am already in a lot of pain, which I why I went. He was still cold-hearted and didn't care one bit.
