Your trust is our top concern.

We strive to keep reviews honest, trustworthy, and fair.

Doctors can not pay for good reviews, nor can they pay to have negative reviews removed.

We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

I hope this practice does not have the ability to delete reviews and women can see this. Right off the bat for someone who doesn’t want to read a long review, I will state: As someone who has been seeing gynecologists for over 10 years and works in the medical field myself, DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE if you are looking for open, up front gynecology services. I have been going to gynecologist since I was 14yo and diagnosed with PCOS. I am new to the Phoenix area and was looking for a new Gynecologist, and this one had great reviews. I chose a provider whose bio stated that she had interest in the management of hormonal imbalances and safe alternative therapies, and this was important to me. On the day of my visit, I felt very rushed and I feel like I was not listened to as a patient. Additionally, I felt like she was trying to push a new “natural” birth control option on me and it made me very uncomfortable. During my PAP smear she asked if she could do a wet mount to check for BV as this is what their practice specializes in and I agreed this was fine. When I went to check out, they said my balance due was $500 something dollars, I asked if this was after my insurance and she stated no. I told her I would wait till it was ran through my insurance and the woman got a little flustered and after a few minutes agreed and explained that most of their patients are self-pay and she was not used to waiting for insurance. This made me feel even more uncomfortable because this was annual preventative exam covered by most insurance companies. Additionally, I had already paid a $50 deposit for my appointment that we discussed and agreed would be applied to my bill. Two months later I received a bill in the mail for over $100 minus the $50 deductible I paid at the time I made the appointment. My insurance covered all portions of the visit except for the charge for a Colposcopy. One, the provider never discussed performing a Colposcopy with me during the visit. Two, there was no reason to perform a Colposcopy as this a procedure you perform if you have an abnormal PAP smear. I am a healthy 28yo female who has never had an abnormal PAP smear, never had an STD or BV and am not currently sexually active, all of which I told the provider. There was absolutely no reason for this to be performed. I called the office and asked them about the charge and the provider I spoke with explained that they perform a Vulvoscopy on all patients, but insurance does not recognize this as a procedure so they code it as a Colposcopy. On my explanation of benefits this is listed as a surgery because that is what the procedure typically is in office. My insurance did not cover this, so I was paying for the remainder. The office stated they perform a Vulvoscopy on all new patients and this is what sets them apart from other providers and if I wanted to dispute it/file a claim with my insurance I was free to do so. This is a disgusting way to provide medical services especially to women who already have disparity when it comes to receiving medical care. If you have a history of vulvovaginal disease maybe this office is for you, but if you are a healthy female looking for a open and honest provider for your women’s health services this is not the place for you.

Grateful to find a Vulvar Specialist
I am grateful to find Dr. Brooks, a GYN vulvar disease specialist. Two other Phoenix GYNs disregarded my symptoms of lichen planus. I was miserable with painful excoriation and ulcerations for years, and developed scarring before receiving accurate steroidal treatment. The only down-side is he accepts limited insurance plans; does not accept Medicare.

Dr Brooks literally saved my life. I had vaginal cancer in 2009. The Vulva Clinic had just purchased 1 of the 2 lazers machines in the U.S. He was completely knowledgeable about my condition, extremely kind and patient and able to put me in remission for over 12 yrs. Without his help and his office staff I would not be here to write a review. Cannot write a review high enough for him!

Would give Dr Brooks 10 stars if I could. He's the epitome of what a doctor should be. He actually listens to his patients, takes the time to explains things well, and involves patients in their condition, diagnosis and treatment. He even lets patients see their cultures through the microscope which is so cool. He understands every female condition including the complicated ones and truly is top in his field. Best of all he's extremely gentle so even those who normally suffer and usually hate gynecology appointments will have no issues. He is the best gynecologist anywhere. His knowledge far exceeds a regular gynecologist. Dr Brooks is easy to talk with, down to earth, modest and has a nice office that even offers individually wrapped lifesaver mints and mini bottles of water in the waiting room. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Brooks. Every doctor should strive to be like him.

Dr. Brooks is the only Dr. who could and would help me. At 54 years old, I was at my wits end with other doctors who told me I’d just have to live with my painful condition. It affected me physically, emotionally and mentally. Dr. Brooks is understanding, kind and knowledgeable. I’m so grateful that he’s been able to help me and I would highly recommend him!

Most kind, caring, and personable doctor I’ve ever seen. After almost 25 years of seeing doctor after doctor with no relief and no diagnosis, Dr Brooks had me feeling better in 3 months and now after years has literally improved my condition by at least 90%. Forever grateful for his compassionate care and effective treatment.

I was diagnosed with a chronic, debilitating disease. Concerned my symptoms weren't typical and concerned about using the prescribed medication and it's associated side effects I had a second visit. Dr. Brooks completely disregarded my concerns. For weeks afterward, worried greatly, I called 3 times hoping to discuss, but no call back ever. I have since been properly diagnosed, treated, and after almost one-year of being symptom-free, I now know my new doctor was correct—I was wrongly diagnosed.

Dr. Brooks is a great physician who was able to diagnose my condition when my regular GYN could not. His staff however is not very sharp. They ordered the wrong dosage of my medication, but would never just apologize for the inconvenience and me being out of pocket $100. Double check everything that they touch in case they screw up.

Dr. Brooks is truly knowledgeable and is personable as well. He has been able to diagnose and successfully treat my condition when doctor after doctor could not. The medicine regimen I am on has made me almost symptom-free and has improved the quality of my life. I can't say enough how much I appreciate his care.
