I sent Dr. Calamia two messages through Einstein Patient Portal on 12/9 requesting for an appointment the same day as I had a very bad sore throat and cough. The messages were read but no one called me or replied my messages. I posted a message on the Patient Advocate and still no one got back to me. When I checked back at the Patient Portal, I saw my messages had been deleted! On 12/27, an office staff called me to ask if I still wanted to see the doctor! She gave the excuse that they didn't have my phone number! I had been seeing this doctor for 3 years and they did call me before to inform me of my lab results. It was already 3 weeks and I was recovering after much pain and suffering, so of course I didn't need the doctor anymore. The Patient Advocate also called me on 12/27. We communicated over email and phone but I didn't feel she was on my side though she was supposed to be my advocate. Einstein's standards have dropped so LOW, doctors so negligent and uncaring.

If you are looking for a family doctor I highly recommend Dr. Calamia. I have been a patient of Dr. Calamia for a decade now although I moved from the area a few years ago. You will never find a doctor like Dr. Calamia who is passionate, caring, experienced, smart, and a genuine guy. He is worth traveling to when you are ill. I’ve seen many doctors in my lifetime and Dr. Calamia is the ONLY doctor willing to sit next to me and listen to what I have to say without feeling rushed so he could move onto the next patient. Dr. Calamia is one of the last good doctors around that has not been programmed like a robot if you know what I mean. His diagnosis is always spot on, his advice is always perfect. The nurses are always friendly and personable. They have always found a way to fit me in the schedule when an emergency has occurred. I find myself truly lucky to have found such a great office where I feel comfortable and I can’t thank Dr. Calamia enough for the professional practice he has ran

Have been using this practice for the last 48 plus years starting with Dr. DiMino. Can't say enough about Dr. Calamia. He was there since a hospital stay of mine back in the 80's. Have been seeing him consistently since the 90's. With my cancer diagnoses in 2015 he has had my back. He is more than just my doctor. Over the years he has become my friend. So many people are unable to say that about their doctor, let alone stay with the same practice for almost 50 years.
