Dr. Joseph Chun, MD

I had a breast reduction and left earlier this year in January. I had my surgery done by Dr. Chun and I had a wonderful experience. The entire process was seamless. He was always very kind and professional and very informative. The entire staff at Dr. Chun’s office were all very kind. The day of my surgery went smooth I am now approaching three months postop and I am extremely pleased and satisfied with my results.

Dr Chun is an excellent and caring surgeon I had a few problems but not his fault though he has taken care of them

He came off as condescending the entire time. Wouldn't listen, laughed at my request, and then tried to pressure me into letting him do what he wanted for my surgery rather than what I'd asked for in my reduction, and if I didn't like my results /then/ he could do what I asked. He isn't very likable and I'm glad I didn't let him operate on me.

He was not my surgeon, but was on call for my surgeon. Called twice. Never answered the phone or called back. I went to the ER and will have to hope my surgeon can fix the damage after 2 days

RUN AWAY FROM THIS SURGEON! I had a breast reduction, because my breasts have been large my entire life and at this point they were so heavy and down to my belly button. I explained over and over that I didn't want to come out of surgery with tiny breasts. We discussed a full C or a D cup was what we agreed upon. I also had to have a nipple graft which he said would look just like a normal nipple but have no feeling. I woke up from surgery devastated! I looked down my gown and couldn't even see any breasts! I called Dr chun hysterical and he said yea I had to take more tissue than I thought but I will fix it once you are healed. My breasts are so small I have zero cleavage and don't even need a bra! My nipples are completely flat and he just said yea there's no way to fix that.THEN I got an infection from the surgery!! My wound opened up and yellow liquid was leaking in the floor of his office and drenched my clothes for days! He finally did a 2nd surgery to clean the infection and sai

2017 bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy. Developed terrible infection, numerous surgeries, had to go elsewhere to get rid of infection, lost nipples and breast. 2022 still in process of successful reconstruction.

Dr Chun did a breast reduction yrs ago for me and my granddaughter, we give him more than a 10! He was not only professional but also did a great job and we are still loving it and have both lost weight after being able to now workout!!! He is absolutely the best!!

DR Chun did a full facelift on me in January 2020. I was impressed with the time he took explaining the procedure. I had no pain and very little swelling. I am delighted with the work he did. I do look 20 years younger. He is a perfectionist and the results show it. His team were totally awesome and I can't recommend him highly enough!

He performed breast augmentation on me 23 years ago and I have since moved to California. Other plastic surgeons have commented on the excellent job he did.

Dr. Chun was thorough in explaining my options and the procedure. He was very helpful in providing the information I needed concerning the decision I needed to make, since I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I have been very impressed with his expertise and I think he is highly skilled, as proven with a successful outcome after my surgery. He worked with me as far as scheduling, since I had a special set of circumstances relating to my time off for the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Chun and thankful my oncology surgeon referred me to him.

Dr. Chun was amazing. He answered my silly questions and my normal questions as they were the most important issue he had been asked. He did everything I wanted done, to the best of his expertise, with breast cancer limiting some issues. I’m amazed with such a great job and what I’m able to do following a complete double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery!!!! I advise anyone to go to Dr. Chun, he’s the best!!!!!!

Dr. Chub is an amazing surgeon. After facing breast cancer I was recommended to see him. He showed compassion and help me decide what would work best for me reconstruction wise after having a double mastectomy. He is direct, caring, and knowledgeable. I love my results and.

My reason for making an appointment with Dr. Chun was to ask about scar revision, a minor procedure that he said he does not perform (so why wasn't I told that over the telephone when I made the appointment?). After Dr. Chun finished shaming me, I left with a price sheet for a facelift and eyelid lift. Physician's fee: $7,123. UT Day Surgery fee: $3,269. GRAND TOTAL: $10,392. From a scar revision to surgery that I had not requested that costs ten grand? Highly inappropriate.

Dr. Chun was given to me as a surgeon when I was in a devastating car wreck in 1994. He was with UT hospital then. My right arm was mutilated and by the grace of god and Dr chun I still have my right arm. It's scared and numb mostly but still useful. If it wasn't for him I don't think I would have my right arm ...so i am grateful. He was a very googood Dr then. I positive he is now. I will never forget my day he took stitches out of my arm.. My surgery was due to health issues. Although a Medicare patient, Dr. Chun took an inordinate amount of time with me. The day of the surgery, and all appointments, he has shown a lot of compassion. He told me if I was unhappy in any way with the results he would go back in until and make changes. I was amazed the entire experience went so well. Interviewed 3 other plastic surgeons without walking away feeling as confident.
