He heard me
He knew what was wrong as soon as I explained my symptoms. He scheduled me for surgery and I've spent the last 7 years pain free. The doctors I saw before him told me I was delusional or just gave me antibiotics even though the cultures were always negative. He improved my quality of life.

Such a great experience, after struggling with kidney pain. Couldn't get in to see other urologist and Dr Joe saw me for a quick telemedicine visit then treated me that week. Great guy.

I was assigned to see Dr. Ciccone through my PCP for kidney stones. He called me once, but otherwise, all communication was through message. He said there was no rush and he wanted to do testing first. The testing was another two-week wait. I asked for something sooner, but again, he insisted there was no hurry. A month after diagnosis of my kidney stone (larger than 10mm), I started experiencing pain in my kidney, down my flank, and into my groin. I was diagnosed with a kidney infection. Prior to this diagnosis, I had messaged Dr. Ciccone my symptoms to be told they had "nothing to do with my kidney stone." Now we are 1.5 months in. The best appointment his assistant could get me? A virtual appointment in a week. Not sure what good that is going to do considering I have protein, blood, and calcium oxalate in my urine. And can barely walk. I sought help outside my PCP's practice and found a urologist who could see me in two days.
