Wife saw him for implants. Buried her two days later.Also a 17 year old died in his office while having tooth pulled.YIKES!!!

Dr. Como is professional, caring and so kind! I took both my kids to have their wisdom teeth removed and he was amazing. Everyone in the office was so nice and made us feel so comfortable. I highly recommend this practice!

I was in need of dentures and was very nervous about prospect of doing it at my age. Dr. Como took his time explaining the process and ensuring the success of procedures. I am happy to report it has allowed me to enjoy eating and smiling again!

On 1/24/2023 I needed dental surgery. I had a truly positive experience at Island Oral Surgery and Implant Group. Dr. Como was amazing. He was super attentive and thorough during all phases of my surgery. Best part was that he totally knew I was nervous and took the time to explain everything and made sure I didn't experience any pain. I seriously left the office smiling. I have never had any bad issues with the doctor nor the staff. Dr. Como makes you feel calm and comfortable. I have been using Dr. Como for years now and so has my son. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice. And he is so funny and down to earth.

Dr. Como is a very nice and friendly oral surgeon; however, his front desk stinks! I took my daughter to the office in early July for impressions, and then they never called me back. When I called in September and spoke with the doctor, he basically told me that I fell through the cracks and was forgotten about. When I had a new dentist request the records, he sent them but refused to call back the dentist to discuss my daughter's case. I decided to go with a different oral surgeon, and they will not send the impressions over to the new surgeon. Total lack of caring and responsibility!!

Dr. Como is very friendly and personable and he will make you feel very comfortable with him. But here are some facts about his practice. He has two patient deaths on his record. His placement of an implant in my jaw resulted in damage to a nerve, resulting a permanent, irreversible injury to me. In my malpractice lawsuit I was awarded a six figure sum. Dr. Como took his time throughout my appointments with him. He explained everything and had a great sense of humor. I even received a call from his office to inform me that he was running late do to an emergency. This has never happened to me before and was greatly appreciated. Didn’t expect to be writing a review the day after I had a tooth removed. My experience with him and his staff was very good so I felt obliged to spread the word.

Dr Como is nothing short of being a miracle worker.Words cannot describe his surgical ability. His caring and concern for his patients is heartwarming. I am grateful I found a surgeon who i trust and respect so much. Thank you Amy Drasin

Dr. Como and his staff have the knack for making you feel completely at ease even under the most stressful situation. I first visited him as an emergency patient for an extraction following a root canal gone bad. The extraction went smoothly despite the mess my regular dentist made. I followed up with an implant and couldn't be happier. Several months later I returned for two more non-emergency extractions and simultaneous implants. Again, the staff was terrific. Dr. Como is wonderful.

My daughter had two wisdom teeth that were laying close to her nerve. We could not remove them the usual way and there was fear of paralysis. Dr. Como performed coronectomy on her teeth and all went well. He was extremely compassionate and easy to talk to. Staff very friendly. He allayed all our fears. He took the time to answer all our questions. We highly recommend Dr. Como for any oral surgery you may need.

Dr Como is an amazing doctor, kind, caring and continually going above and beyond. Dr Como actually saved my husband's life at his first appointment. Dr Como noticed that my husband's blood pressure was high, did not move forward with the procedure but instead got us an emergency appointment with a cardiologist who said he was days away from a heart attack. Without Dr Como's intervention, I could have lost my husband. My husband who is petrified of surgery was extremely comfortable with Dr Como.

Used Dr. Como twice for implant surgery now. He makes the experience almost enjoyable! The procedure went smooth and quickly on both occasions. Hardly any discomfort at all. He is friendly and personable and really makes you feel at ease, in fact his whole staff does as well. I would recommend him to anyone looking for dental implants.

Dr Como recently extracted my wisdom teeth. I was extremely nervous, especially about being sedated, but he immediately calmed all my fears. He was friendly, funny, and talked to me in terms that I could understand. The procedure went well, and I was feeling like myself within a few days. I would highly recommend him!! My brother will need his wisdom teeth out soon, and I will not let him go to anyone but Dr Como.

As a patient who is very anxious in the dentist's chair, I cannot recommend Dr Como enough. He is sympathetic, quick to listen and to provide creative solutions to what to some would be a non issue, but to me was a show stopper. I could not hold an x-ray slide in my mouth without gagging, the solution? He used a child size slide, simple, but effective, and one indication of the care he has taken of me during my visits.
