After several years with this doctor, we realized that it was time to move on. There is a systemic office failure to listen, follow through, and communicate clearly. This impacts everything about the office: timely communication, lab results, coding and billing, insurance, diagnoses, and more.

Non-existent communication and terrible referral process. No follow-up on referrals, insurance left me in pain for months.

My adult daughter went to him for her annual exam. She complained to him about being chronically fatigue and being rejected for a blood donation in the past month. He then ordered a blood test for her which she got back the following week. When the results came back online it showed four levels were abnormal. Today, it's been exactly a month and no one from his office has called to discuss her results. She is still experiencing extreme fatigue which greatly concerns me. This is negligence!

Thorough visit. I went in for a physical before a surgery and was treated very well. He is very knowledgeable and that’s what makes him a good doctor. The office staff is busy upfront but they make up for it with their pleasing personalities. I didn’t feel rushed and felt very comfortable answering his history questions about myself. came up

Dr. Czvik has been my primary physician for the past 7 years. He is a good listener, reviews my complete patient history before seeing me, is very thorough and takes his time to answer all my questions. Dr. Czvik always makes me feel very comfortable and treats me like a family member, just like his staff do. I trust him with my care and health.

Dr. Czvik has been my 'family doctor' for more than 20 years, and was my parents doctor as well. He has seen me through midlife and into late adulthood with equal aplomb. He is incredibly thorough, and always has at hand my full patient history. He misses nothing, notes everything, and communicates complex concepts and scary medical issues with ease, and warmth. Too many doctors today treat patients like a slab of meat with insurance - nothing could be further from Dr. Czvik's approach. No matter what Im facing medically, I can rely upon him for the best quality care, the best communication, and a doctor who is in the medical field because he really likes providing medical care to patients. If you want a doctor who stays current with all the advances in medicine, and yet practices medicine in the time honored ways - using his head, his heart and his hands, this is the doctor for you. I can't say enough good about Dr. Czvik.

Needed to see him last minute. He made it really easy and the staff was also very helpful.

I came to the office after waiting a couple of weeks for an opening but that’s ok. Sat in the office 30 minutes and was told my Medicare card was out of state. I said fine “I’ll pay cash.” It was a no go with them and they very nicely and with courtesy invited me out of the office taking great care that the door didn’t hit me on the way out. So meh .,. Never got past the gatekeepers except for a quick glare by the doc. Easily rescheduled but thought that my time was as valuable as his decided that there must be some better option. Wondered what he would do if treated him like that. My solution: make me pay cash up front. Do an intake eval and if he’d rather not provide care refer me to a generic doc in a big box practice.

I moved into the area and am a new patient with Dr. Czvik. I was very impressed with my first visit. I didn't have a wait at all for my appointment time and Dr. Czvik reviewed my complete medical history during my visit. He was very knowledgeable, caring, and stays on top of the latest medical studies. His office staff were very friendly and organized. The office was very easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Dr. Czvik and his office staff. I would highly recommend them!

Dr. Czvik has been my doctor for two decades or more. He is a listener and remembers your history. He is great at diagnosis. Because his office is located in Lake San Marcos, many of his patients are senior citizens so he has lots of experience in issues like medicines that work or don't work, cardio issues and blood pressure issues. I recommend him when ever I am asked for a great local Internal Med. Doctor.

Love the doc. Very knowledgeable and warm, effective communicator. But he does not have enough help in his front ofc so it has been our experience that we often have to call 2-3 times to get Rx refills. And referrals are even worse. We’ve even had them approved but the ofc either didn’t know that or was too busy to communicate that to us. In addition, this ofc does not have enough inbound phone lines. Frequently we have called and had the line answered with a recording saying no voicemail.

I really like him, and I don't say that about most doctors. I think he is straight with me, and that is not a common medical characteristic either, and while he does look for horses instead of zebras, he doesn't diagnose based solely on hoofbeats. All in all I appreciate him very much.
