met dr gomez 2 days after a mild heart attack while in bed in the hospital. he was recommended to be my cardiologist. he told me i had a major heart attack with major damage. an hour before that 2 other doctors told me i had a mild attack with little or no damage. i asked him a couple other questions that he deferred to his pa. he obviously never looked at my records before the visit. he commented negatively about fox news being on the tv. i surmised dr gomez is confused about his politics and his medicine. i canceled my first appointment with him. really didn't need to experience that depth of arrrogance 2 days after a heart attack, still flat on my back in the hospital. didn't like his lack of style and lack of knowledge of my case. got another cardiologist. very upsetting experience.

What kind of doctor, especially a cardiologist, doesn’t even use a stethoscope to listen to a patients heart and lungs, doesn’t check the patients legs for fluid even when asked to do so, gives a patient no hope for ever living a better life, and spews complete diarrhea from his mouth with nothing but negativity, like he’s some demented psychologist instead of an actual cardiologist?! Joseph Gomez does. He does not do anything an actual respected doctor would do at a visit and thinks he’s some kind of substandard psychologist. If you want to go to the doctor's to listen to a cold, uncaring, heartless pretend psychologist and leave feeling completely devalued and diminished as a human being than this is the doctor for you! If you want to go see an actual doctor and not some bogus psychologist, I strongly recommend never wasting your time, effort, and well being with this so called cardiologist! I would rate him with as many negative stars as I could if that were possible!!!

Dr Gomez spends about 5 minutes with my mother. He was abrupt, loud & asked us to "focus " on what he was saying. He was not empathetic and did not seem to care how my mother felt. We are going to a new cardiologist.

Recently visited Dr. Gomez's nurse practitioner -- total time of visit was approximately 20 minutes. Was billed nearly $250.00 for this visit. About a week later was seen by Dr. Gomez -- the total time of this visit was approximately 5 minutes. Was billed nearly $250.00 for the second visit. (Rated staff friendliness and courteousness as excellent, since, with only one exception, I found that to be the case.)
