Dr. Joseph Herrmann, MD

Friendly, and thoughtful..great guy

This man has delivered babies on both sides of my family. He is absolutely wonderful! I’ve had three healthy babies. The last one was a bit tricky and he stuck around close to the hospital, ran to the gym and then checked on me again. I went into labor at around six in the morning with my daughter and he regularly checked in on me until she was delivered at almost 11 o’clock at night. (Over the course of seeing him for 10 years I have certainly waited a little longer for my appointment a few times, but ALWAYS with confidence that he is delivering his best to someone who needs it.)I will add that while he is an exceptional OB, he has also taken care of other female issues since. There was surgery required and he was again, clear and caring while providing excellent medical service. He is a wonderful human. You can trust him!

I am sadden to say l was going to Dr. Herrman for over 27 years. He was great at one point when l was having kids. Now that l am having medical issues and been reaching out to him he has ignored my phone calls and not responded to call me to discuss my recent pelvic exam. It is very hurtful that l have to try and find another doctor that cares for women who are going through menopause.

I absolutely love Dr. Herrmann. He was always respectful and included my spouse in every little detail. He saved my life when I was in distress as well as my sons, then when my second pregnancy came was proactive and knew what to expect. He calmed all my fears. He is everything you want in an OB-GYN. I just wish I didn't live so far away.

Dr.Hermann is an amazing Obgyn! He delivered both my children. My first pregnancy was smooth sailing he was very in tuned with me. Made sure I was comfortable at all times. My second pregnancy I was so stressed out finding out my son had a heart defect but Dr.Hermann was there every step of the way Day and Night. And still checks in on us. This man is heaven sent. He goes above and beyond during and after hours. Idk how many times I have called this man in a panic. I highly recommend him if you want a man that truthfully cares and keeps EVERYTHING 100! Thanks Dr.Hermann keep being the amazing gynecologist that you are

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Herrmann. He’s always been supportive and listened to what I had to say. He’s currently out of network for me but I will still make an appointment to see him when it’s time for the annual exam.

Dr. Herrmann told me he does episiotomies on over 50% of his patients. This is a ridiculously high statistic and very old school. He does not care about your concerns, go find a woman doctor who will actually listen. I switched OBs mid pregnancy and I’m so glad I did.

Dr herrmann has delivered all three of my babies. He is personable, honest and thorough. I love every visit with him and his quick wit. I recommend him to anyone looking!

Dr. Herrmann is always very thorough and makes you feel comfortable. I've been going to him since I was 19. He's also guided me through 3 rough pregnancies. Can't recommend him enough.

I would not recommend Dr. Herrmann if you are perimenopause or in menopause. I went to him to discuss my hot flashes but told him I would not do HRT (hormone replacement therapy). He said then I should take antidepressants and if I didn’t do that then I should “just tough them out.” Period!!! He also disregarded my views on what I felt my body was doing. I felt I was still ovulating but not having a period. I know when I ovulate. He blew me off and basically said I was crazy. Since then I have found a new OB and she totally believed me. She said I know my body best. And she also gave me other options for my hot flashes. Dr. Herrmann also gave me the roughest breast exam I have ever had. I even commented to him, “did you feel my backbone too.” He Just said that he was thorough. He disregarded me. Didn’t listen and basically didn’t care. Don’t recommend him at all.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Herrmann! I felt at ease immediately upon meeting him at my first visit. He made sure all of my questions were answered and concerns were addressed throughout my pregnancy. I would and HAVE recommended him to anyone that will listen!

Dr. Herrmann was very arrogant and he showed me that I was right to feel skeptical about having a male OBGYN. I did not feel like he cared I felt like a number and I had to reschedule several important appointments after I waited in the waiting area for over 30 minutes. One appointment I had to reschedule was finding out our baby’s gender. I ended up switching OBGYN when I was 20 weeks. Safe yourself the trouble.

I am so glad I found Dr. Herrmann! He was recommended to me from my old doctor when I moved to the area and he has been amazing since day one. I never have to wait long to see him, his office staff are all super friendly, and he puts me at complete ease anytime I have a question or need something. He’s also very quick to respond to messages, and personally calls to check up on you. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Herrmann!

Dr. Herrmann has delivered 3 of my 5 and soon to deliver number 6! He is always honest and upfront, he is blunt and to the point! He will answer any questions you have and during delivery he makes it easy and smooth! He doesn’t push for c-sections or anything! He is seriously the only dr I want to deliver me and I have never waited too long in his office unless he was doing a delivery which is an expectation you should have going to an ob/gyn! Highly recommend him!

If you have a straightforward pregnancy, go find a midwife. Go to him if: 1) It's your 3rd or 4th pregnancy because that's all the time he is willing to wait for your trial labor. 2) You don't mind waiting 30-45 minutes for office visit as Dr. has that many csec to perform.

Dr. Herrmann has been my OB/GYN for both of my kids. He has a light hearted sense of humor that can put you right at ease. He helped us through some issues with conception with much compassion and never pushed us to do anything we didn't believe in. When we finally did get pregnant he was actually one of the first people we couldn't wait to celebrate the good news with. He has a true love of kids and has 7 kids of his own! Just an amazing compassionate doctor!

Dr Herrmann delivered my last 2 babies after my first OB passed away. He is absolutely amazing! He takes the time to answer all your questions and makes you feel as if each question is an important one. He knows how to put a smile on your face when upset or nervous. He has always just made me feel at ease. It actually saddens me that I'm done having babies and he won't be there to deliver anymore. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him!

Dr. Herrmann is a doctor who truly loves what he does. My parents have 11 kids. The youngest is the only sibling he delivered. It was the easiest pregnancy and delivery my mother has had, and the only epidural that actually worked. My sisters and I liked him so much that we have seen him for everything as well since. Most recent a sister visited from Japan when found out she was pregnant. Fortunately she was able to see him within days and found out some serious news. He saved my sis and niece.

I have been going to see Dr. Hermann since I was 16 ( now 35), and he is amazing! Caring and competent with a lighthearted sense of humor. Absolutely LOVE HIM!

Dr. Herrmann delivered my third child and I really liked having him for a doctor. He was kind, professional and even let me choose my delivery date since I was being induced. I received an ultrasound every time I went and that was very comforting to me to see my healthy son growing and moving with each visit. The delivery itself was perfectly smooth and we were laughing and joking the whole time. Overall a really great experience.
