I had an extremely disappointing experience
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Dr. Jemsek’s clinic and feel compelled to share my story. Despite paying astronomical prices for care, which were equivalent to what one would pay to see a doctor, I was only ever seen by nurse practitioners. While I respect the role of nurse practitioners, the care I received was subpar and poorly managed. My treatment plan was ineffective, and instead of making necessary changes, they simply extended the amount of time I was kept off medication, leaving me feeling neglected and worsening my condition. To make matters worse, the clinic abruptly closed without any warning, leaving me completely stranded without treatment or guidance. For a patient managing a complex illness like Lyme disease, this was devastating. I felt abandoned and completely disregarded. Now that the clinic has reopened, they seem to expect patients to trust them again. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I find it hard to imagine how that trust could be rebuilt.

I’ve been under Dr Jemsek’s care for past 2 yrs. Before becoming his patient I was ignored &/or misdiagnosed & so severely sick I’d given up hope. I knew Dr Jemsek has been 1 of the 1st MDs to diagnose & treat HIV/AIDS in Charlotte area,& that his patients were his priority. From my research prior to seeing him, he has the highest success rate in treating Lyme/tick/borne diseases. He is not only an excellent ID Specialist, but has more experience than most other ILADS physicians. He is innovative & aggressive in treatment methods, using a working combination of Rx medications & holistic, nutraceutical based supplements to augment. He was my last resort, as I had become completely debilitated after sev bite episodes incompletely /inadequately treated. Testing for Lyme remains highly inaccurate, yet this is often the only criteria used to diagnose in mainstream medicine. Dr Jemsek is thorough, listens carefully. He does careful lab work & other testing to explore additional dysfunctions.

This clinic has given my son his life back. He has Lyme and wanted to end his life rather than live bedbound and be so ill. He is doing things he use to do and his life is so much better. Still a way to go but thank you to Jemsek and Dr Rachel Markey. You have made mine and my sons life worth living again.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This is only the second internet review I have ever done, the other being a five star for a surgeon. That is how disgruntled I am with this clinic that I am actually taking the time to write a review. They deserve negative stars. The STAFF IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. I have been going to this clinic for years. WISH I would have gone somewhere else.

His clinic has saved me! Don't wait or hesitate. He and his PAs are the best and won't give up on you! I wasted so much time trying to get well with other LLMDs. He treats in such a more through and sophisticated way.

One of the most brilliant doctors in the country. This doctor dedicated so much time and energy to help me with my illness. He understands pain and suffering. He tells it like it is. He won't give up until you have answers. I travel 1,500 miles to see this great doctor..

I have been seeing Dr Jemsek in North Carolina South Carolina and Washington DC for over 10 years. I have had chronic Lyme disease the whole time. After after 10 years of major treatment I am drug free and symptom free. I attribute at all to Dr Jemsek.
