Dr. Joseph Rizzi, DO

Former Villages Health patient with Dr Rizzi. He left the practice and we are trying to find him. Where is he located now?

Takes his time to determine the issue and carefully explains the problem and the proposed solution.

When calling this office Do NOT tell the scheduler you're in the process of moving to the area! I called to proactively set up a new patient appointment with Dr. Rizzi at the Village Health Care's Old Camp Road location. Everything was going fine till I mentioned we were moving into our new place in a couple of weeks. Conversation took an abrupt turn and I was informed only people living in the Villages could be seen at their clinic. It didn't matter that I have a physical address in the Villages, or that the appointment wouldn't happen until at least a month after we moved in -- all the scheduler focused on was I wasn't technically there yet, and she absolutely refused to schedule an appointment. At this point of course I'm looking for another clinic. Bottom line is don't make the same mistake I did!! :-( Rizzi may be a fine physician, and since I don't know one way or the other I'm selecting four stars to match his current rating and not impact his personal score.

Wonderful. Caring, and very knowledgeable . Sees his patients in a matter of minutes. Thats in credible for Dr's today. Wonderful staff. Facility is pristine.

Dr Rizzi was recommended by a neighbor, a fellow Veteran, so I went to his office with a medical problem and was told by his receptionist that my Blue Cross Blue Shield was not accepted in his office, even though his practice is listed as a participating Doctor in my plans website, I was told that maybe I could try a clinic elsewhere in the Villages? I was told by my neighbor that this practice was Veteran Friendly, I guess not. Bill Denholm, USMC, D.A.V.

I also do not understand the one negative rating. I would say he is my favorite of all the doctors I have seen over many decades. He does listen extremely well, was quite thorough, explained lab results well and asked repeatedly if there was anything I wanted to discuss. Made it very clear that I should call with any questions and he or one of his team members would respond the same day. (Which they have done.)

I don’t know what kind of day the person writing the review from June 9, 2019 was having but Dr. Rizzi has always be attentive and listened as I spoke. He offered great professional advise and didn’t make me feel like I was “just a patient”. He spent time with me. I didn’t feel rushed. He is a great dr!!

Dr. Rizzi is the most caring PCP I have ever had. Never feel rushed and he always listens. Excellent doctor.

Felt like he wasn’t listening to me as i spoke. Very disappointing. STAY AWAY!!

My husband & I are Very pleased to have relocated from Va and through New found Sisters recommendation we joined up w Dr. Rizzo & Dr. Talati. They have made our Medical transitions go smoothly...Thank you both so very much

Dr Rizzi listens.....,responds. Because of that trait his problem solving and ideas for my Medical problems have Helped. He doesn't just give you another prettysciption and say "see you in 30 days."He recommends alternatives ideas/treatments for my health problems. I would recommend him to anyone. I have been highly satisfied with all the care from the interns on rotation at the Heart and Family Institute. A patient is met with a smile and greeting when entering.
