Would Recommend
Dr. Sfera just placed a port into my 18 year old son for chemotherapy. He met with me post op and explained that things went well and even drew a diagram to explain better about the placement of the catheter. Very kind, would recommend.

He was very good at surgery…looks good..never felt pain…healed well except for small bubble right in front of my throat…After he seen it at check up he just told me to find a plastic surgeon! Very rude I thought…

Nice Guy, But Bad Surgical Outcomes
I thought he did a lot of thyroidectomies, but he is a GENERAL SURGEON. After my hemi thyroidectomy, he told me it went well, but when the lab report came back, he didn't get margins on my cancerous tumor. Also, after have a radioactive iodine treatment, I was told that there was "A lot of thyroid tissue left behind." I should have chosen an endocrine surgeon. I have met another person who had to have surgery a month after Dr. Sferra did his thyroidectomy because Dr. Sferra neglected to remove lymph nodes.

I first met Dr. Sferra when he implanted a port for chemotherapy. I found him to be very professional, friendly and an excellent surgeon. He spoke to me about a secondary issue, which I am aware of, and that it needed to be addressed with my thyroid doctor. I felt very comfortable speaking to him and would not hesitate to recommend him.

He took care of my daughter by recognizing she had SMAS and needed surgery immediately. My daughter had been so sick for months and had gone to some of the top hospitals. We are so thankful he was able to do surgery on her so she could begin to heal.

Dr. Sferra is an excellent physician and surgeon. His compassion for his patients is evident in his actions. He truly cares for his patients and works efficiently to make them feel better. He went out of his way to get my surgery scheduled immediately. I give him my highest recommendation!

Most experience with Thyroidectomy per my research. Absolutely the best experience you could hope for. He took all the time I needed to discuss my case and answer my questions. Very professional yet down to earth.
