Dr. Joseph Weistroffer, MD

DR. Weistroffer offered clear and understandable medical advice concerning my husband’s broken neck and complete paralysis. He performed the surgery that saved my husband’s life and got him up on his feet again… walking! We will be forever grateful to his expertise and kindness he gave at my husband’s bedside.

All around great doctor…experienced, compassionate, takes his time explaining the issue (to both myself and my spouse) and possible remedies…couldn’t ask for better surgical care and skill.

I was on time for the initial scheduled appointment, and Dr. Weistroffer was 20 min late for it, and no apology from him for lateness. He questioned my pain level 3 times quoting exactly the words from his pain indicator on his form. He criticized negatively my back and spine evaluation by other physicians. He questioned my MRI results and stated that he had done 2500 or more sugeries and had taught physicians spinal surgery, and that I did not need spinal surgery. He stated he would schedule an EMG for my arm. After a month his staff said that he forgot to write that order when they contacted me about keeping the follow-up appointment which I had made with his office to go over EMG results. My family member present during my appointment thought Dr. Weistroffer had acted inappropriately regarding how he expressed comments about my pain and his criticism of other physicians. I took Dr. Weistroffer's advice to get a second opinion. I will not return to Dr. Weistroffer.

One of the best doctors i have had, My back has never been better. The staff are very caring and great at their jobs also. I can not sing their praises loud enoufh. Wish i could do a before and after commercial for them. THANKS GUYS!!!!!!

I went to see this Dr. To assess my cervical disc hernia that was causing nerve pain to the left arm. After i had a ACDF, I aquired unbearable pain to the back of my neck that was never there before. The nerve pain reduced in the left arm but is still there. When talking to the dr weisstroffer about this new and more stressful pain he remaind silent and did not answer. Very dissappointed. I am in more pain than before the surgery that he performed.
