Dr. Josephine Iskander, MD

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Iskander. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I felt welcomed and cared for. Unlike many doctors who seem to rush through appointments, Dr. Iskander takes the time to listen and truly understand my concerns. Each appointment is thorough, and I never feel like just another number in the system.Dr. Iskander is attentive and empathetic, providing thoughtful and personalized treatment plans. Her approach is holistic, considering not just the immediate symptoms but the overall well-being of the patient. I always leave the office feeling confident in the care I received and assured that my health is in good hands.I highly recommend Dr. Iskander to anyone looking for a compassionate and dedicated healthcare provider who genuinely cares about their patients.

I've been a patient of Dr. Iskander for years, and I can't recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Iskander always takes the time to listen to my concerns and provides thoughtful, effective solutions. Her compassionate approach makes me feel valued and understood. I am extremely satisfied and deeply grateful for Dr. Josephine Iskander. Although I had known her before from accompanying my father-in-law to his appointments, I became her patient for the first time in August 2024, and I immediately felt a sense of trust in her. After living in Michigan for seven years, I struggled to trust a doctor, as I grew up with parents who were doctors themselves. But after losing my father, I was searching for someone I could rely on and fate led me to Dr. Josephine.From our very first meeting, my life changed both physically and mentally. Thanks to her guidance and my dedication, I lost 16 kg in five months and became more focused on my studies. I cannot recommend her enough,anyone would be lucky to have her as their doctor!

Dr. Iskander is an intelligent, compassionate caregiver who takes all the time you need and actively includes you in your treatment plan. I felt listened to and heard and valued.

I have been a patient of Dr. Iskander coming up on 10 years. I did an intense search for a PCP who specialized in diabetic care. Long story short, I found Dr Iskander in March 2014 and still hear. Since then I have lost weight, stopped smoking and glad to say my diabetes is under control. I wasn't the easiest patient but she never gave up on me. What I like is that she took me step by step to better health. For example, instead of telling me to lose 30 lbs, she would say I should have lost 5lbs by the next appointment. Sometimes I did and when I didn't she may say walk 15 more. I'm always tickled when she tells me to lick my tongue out. Her response is good you are drinking water or you need to drink more water. She's a keeper. I recommend her.

I felt like Dr. Iskander never liked me from the start. She took me off several of my needed medications against my will even those provided by other Doctors. Constantly wanted me to come in. The last virtual visit she never even looked at me. Stared at her computer the whole time. I felt like screaming “Look at me”!! I’m going to find another Doctor.

As a new primary care provider, upon my first visit with her in Fall 2022, she detected a lump in my thyroid during my psychical exam. She first listened to my symptoms of fatigue and lightheadedness. Upon examination, she felt the lump in my throat that turned out to be papillary thyroid cancer. It's truly a miracle to me that she lead me to my road to healing. Subsequently, I had my thyroid removed and the quality of my life has improved. Thank you, Dr. Iskander!

I relocated last spring from another state and was concerned I wouldn't find the exceptional Dr’s I had in CA. After a few attempts with other doctors & lots of research I found Dr. Iskander. Upon very first meeting she went above and beyond to ask questions, address all my concerns, really listened and considerate in recommendations of care. She called after hours to finish my appt. that was interrupted only for her focus on a very ill other patient. She cares. She looks to find the right resolve & standard of care. With long term consideration I feel confident that her experience, time & dedication will result in me being healthier. On top of it she is pleasant and kind. Staff is also great. I hope other patients have the opportunity to be under her care.

This doctor ignored my chronic diseases, and the fact that I am a cancer survivor. Treated my headaches from a venous malformation with migraine medicine. Refused to document the skin disease I have. Speaks in a foreign language with staff in the presence of patients. She doesn't listen at all, and her overconfidence and know it all attitude aren't conducive to a respectful and trusting doctor-patient relationship.

She doesn’t pay attention. Patients are a business transaction for her, not human beings. Lacks empathy! AVOID HER!

I have already posted this review on the google also. She is extremely rude and unprofessional. My family member was in her care in Troy Beaumont Hospital. Even after repeated requests from the family members, she would NOT listed to anything stating that she is the decision make and not obliged to either listen to the patient or the family members. The patient has Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. He neither could eat nor drink and had IV for fluids intake. She discharged him with IV treatment and even got his PVC (peripheral venous catheter) removed. Patient's arms are swollen. It's extremely difficult to find venous access. Now patient is home without any IV and needs to go back to emergency for IV. I would not recommend this unprofessional, unrefined, unenthusiastic and rude physician to anyone. She needs to care about her patients instead of thinking to just make money off of them and not even providing quality care.
