My life recently changed because of a stroke. My doctor had recently retired and I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Bentley. As a lawyer for 31 years, the change in my life required a doctor who would treat the patient and the human being. Dr. Bentley helped me through this trying time. He is kind, professional, thorough, and most importantly takes his time. He listens, he questions, he cares. He has all the time in the world for you. He realizes that part of his mission is to address your concerns and fears with appropriate and adequate information. I cannot think of a doctor in my 59 years who works harder to be sure his patients understand, that their questions are answered, their fears have been laid to rest. His mannerisms are obviously a tribute to his upbringing, not his medical studies. Every time I leave his office, I feel better, more confident, and better informed. He gets an A+ from me and I am a tough grader.

I can assure you, that as a longterm patient, I know what works when I feel a particular way. I have been a dialysis kidney transplant patient since 2006 and I can accurately describe that which ills me, unless I have a distorted view of time from having been in the hospital for six days with an infection and fever, which is my current situation. Granted, it takes time and rest to feel better after discharge from the hospital, but Dr. Bentley recommended physical therapy, or going back to the ER. At the moment, in the state that I am in, I cannot be asked to sit in an ER for 18 hours, with the risk of picking up other infections, while my family waits and worries. I was given a short dose of pain medicine my my surgeon when I left the hospital and they told me to ask my general practitioner if I was still having pain. I asked for a lesser dose of tylenol3, instead of what they gave me in the hospital. Sometimes a patient just needs mercy, not physical therapy, not the ER, just rest.

I've been seeing this doctor for a few years. He is nice and professional. However, he is never sure about anything and ultimately refers you out to other specialists repeatedly. He does very little in-office. I don't know a lot about billing, but I need a doctor that will allow my 1-year preventative care visit, to include full lab work for deficiencies, thyroid, etc... My other prior 2 doctors did this, but this doctor refused, and said he'd bill the each lab separately. This doesn't work 4 me
