Dr. Joshua Goethals, MD

Very efficient check on, staff was courteous. The doctor had reviewed my information beforehand and was knowledgeable about what my condition was and what I needed.

Dr. Goethals was great! He fully explained the process, answered all of my questions, and had great follow up visits. I felt great knowing that we had a game plan and hit all of our targets. I'd recommend working with him!

I feel he rushes to get to surgery and even more surgery than needed. I chose to go with another surgeon and am 100% happy with the outcome and recovery.

Doctor said incision looked good and put new bandage on knee for 5 days to help heal.

The doctor was rude and dismissive. He blew off my pain, my questions and my experience. He stared down my spouse when she dared to ask him questions. I came out devastated and despite reporting it to the manager, nothing happened and when we contacted them later, they acted as if they couldn’t remember the experience. Then, they referred me to the wrong hospital for my MRI, even though I called multiple times to request it. This caused months-long delays in my care. Awful all around, unless you want medical trauma.

Pros: I am seen on time and all problems are addressed professionally. Surgery went well and he takes extra precautions to prevent infections.He is always willing to explain and show images of issues. Con: Each visit feels I feel like he has no idea who I am and is meeting me for the 1st time.

Dr. Goethals was fine but I waited for over an hour to see him.

Achilles tendon repair surgery due to total tear. Knowledgable and confident on surgical approaches as well as options not including surgery discussed. Quick action, response, and game plan. Clear expectations of what to expect and what I need to do to get better.

Dr. Goethals was detailed in the explaining the prognosis. He is open to all questions and creates a trusting atmosphere to have honest conversations.

Easy to talk to. Dr. was able to explain the injury and steps to recovery.

All staff were GREAT. Dr was helpful in explaining what had occurred, reviewed the X-rays and MRI to give me a better understanding.

His direct honest nature is very calming and assuring. When ask a question, I get a true honest answer and not some gargled mess response.

He spent so much time examining my daughter’s legs to better understand what was causing her pain. He explained everything in layman’s terms and was so genuine. I highly recommend.

He is very knowledgeable; explained the problem and the solution and is an excellent listener. Did not rush in and out of the appointment, but instead, made me feel like I was the most important patient of the day. I am very impressed with his professionalism, kindness and consideration for his patients. From one to ten, I give him a 10+.
