Always busy chatting up his assistants bragging
I've seen Dr Hicks 3 times now since my eye Dr retired. Dr Hicks has on every visit been chatting up his assistants as he enter the room with me as the conversation continues. The nature of the conversations are basically him bragging about how he does more procedures then Dr x or or other stuff along those lines. The conversation continues as he briefly says hi and maybe shake my hand then he goes over my chart while continuing the conversation with the assistant. Then he blurts out what he wants to do. He is very short with any answers to questions you might have. Like how will this improve my issue or what are the long term concerns and so forth. I am left feeling like can I trust this information. He might be a competent Dr but honestly I will not be returning to someone who can't give me his undivided attention. I mean it's my eyes after all.

Friendly staff, usually a short wait, and Dr. Hicks is always friendly when seeing us. My wife, Dad, Mom, and I are now patients.
