Excellent doctor. Very compassionate and very positive and intelligent! Great clinical knowledge and diagnostician. Diagnosed my erysipelas quickly.

Blackballed Me When I Tried to Switch Doctors
I went to see this doctor before surgery and staging. He told me statistics which I did not need to hear as I had not been staged yet. My stage ended up lower than CT scans implied. I simply wanted to switch doctors to another in his practice. Story should have ended here...but I was told I had to speak only to the practice manager and list a reason to switch doctors to which I did. After numerous calls and begging the VCI liaison to intervene to help over 3 weeks, I realized I had been blackballed from the entire practice. This delayed treatment and seems a blatant violation of Hippocratic oath to do no harm.

I have been seeing Dr MacFarlane for slightly less than 2 years. Dr MacFarlane listens well and is well versed in evaluating blood disorders involving the immune system.
