Makes a difficult experience easier
I have been a patient of Dr Rosenberg since being diagnosed with breast cancer 9 months ago. He provides excellent and compassionate care. He personally called me with my (bad) biopsy results rather than letting me get the report through the patient portal, and answered my immediate questions even though I didn’t have an appointment. So important at a time of very high anxiety. Also, while he offered his treatment recommendations, he also gave me enough information about side effects and percentage chance of recurrence for each options, to empower me in decision making. He replies to questions through the patient portal typically within a day, which is really nice as you navigate the world of cancer treatment, side effects, etc. Last but not least, my parents are both patients of Dr Rosenberg (mom for breast cancer and dad for non Hodgkin’s lymphoma and prostate cancer) and the whole reason I saw him in the first place was their enthusiastic recommendation.

Dr. Rosenberg cared for my sister. He is a deeply compassionate doctor. My experience was that he missed her cancer because he did not do a second lymphectomy at her 2 month check-up even though her lymph node was swollen. It is a hard cancer for a pathologist to identify but you won't find it if you do not look. When found there seemed to be no attempt to rush the placement of the port, hence the chemo. It is sad when the cancer is fast and the system is slow. Possibly he has more patients than is humanly possible to follow closely.

I had a consultation with Dr Rosenberg for prostate cancer. I found him to be intelligent, informed, honest, current, and genuinely concerned. He communicates really well. He earned my respect today.
