Horrible staff! Does not listen!
Over the years I have become less heard during appointments (especially side effects). Ochoa would change the dosage despite this, ultimately making matters worse every time. He has “overlooked” and aka missed my last two appointments. Extremely unprofessional. I feel as if I am just being used as a teaching tool and a lab rat. I am now pregnant and it feels impossible to even get in touch with a nurse to see if these medications are safe to take while carrying a baby. This clinic is highly unprofessional and don’t be surprised when you end up talking to someone on the phone from the desk who is rude to you for no reason.

Don't do it!
I always feel like he's just using me as a teaching tool for his students. I've been going to him for years now & have started to call him Dr.Know-it-all. I've come to the conclusion that he's not listening to me at all anymore. He just keeps me full of medications with terrible side effects that he doesn't want to discuss at all. Getting out of there as soon as I can have my medical records transferred!

Dr. Ochoa himself is an excellent doctor. It's his nurses that are the problem. Like someone else has said, they refuse to get scripts renewed in a timely fashion. We've been trying to get our son's script for seizure meds renewed for 4 days now. The pharmacy has sent in the request several times, and called at least twice, and I've called multiple times. Our son has severe epilepsy and has been in the hospital and in ICU several times status epilepticus. Because of the nurses' incompetent and uncaring attitude, he could be in the ICU when we run out of meds tonight

Dr Ochoa is a very good doctor, but trying to actually talk to someone in his office is like trying to call the President of the United States. We can never get anyone to call us back and my daughter has run out of her epilepsy medicine because the nurses won't respond to the pharmacies and will not even call her back. I have called several times over a period of 5 days before someone would return my call and then they acted like it was my fault that the refill was not sent to the pharmacy.
