Dr. Juan Varon, MD

DO NOT COME HERE! Worst place ever. My mother’s appointment was at 9:00am. We went to the wrong building by accident and my mother who is over 70 years old and walks slow we made it just in time at 8:58 and they refuse to see her! The “manager” washed her hands and they do not have any empathy or flexibility whatsoever. Mind you we were still early!! After explaining our human mistake of going to the wrong building and still making on time before 9 they still refuse to see her like this is a nails appointment. We are talking about PATIENT CARE. They do not care about the patient. It seems to me they are extremely lazy. Very disappointed, I’ve gone with my mom to all her appointments and this is the first time we experience this horrible situation.

Dr Varon is a good man and a good doctor . We started to go to him when ultrasounds shows my thyroid nodules were growing . Dr Varon was very professional and understanding, and concerned for my total health. He did aspiration biopsies on my thyroid, which the lab found to be cancerous. He referred me to surgeon Dr Bekeny, who removed my thyroid successfully. Dr Varon prescribed and adjusted my thyroid hormone replacement medications, which I must take for the rest of my life. He sees me regularly and prescribes blood tests so he can monitor my thyroid hormone levels . He is very reassuring to me, and to my husband , who is now also his patient. I have confidence in Dr Varon and appreciate his care and concern .

Came for my first new patient visit And he ask 3-4 questions did not take care of what I needed very negative and dont feel like he cares unfortunately that was my experience

Each time I go for a follow-up appointment with Dr. Varon my opinion of him and experience gets exponentially worse. This is the most condescending Doctor I have ever dealt with, has no sympathy whatsoever for me as a patient or my situation/condition. His attitude and mannerism is absolutely deplorable. There is no sense of urgency for scheduling appointments, regardless of the situation, you could wait way more than a month to be seen. I do not plan on following-up on my endocrine condition with this doctor and would not recommend to anyone due to his attitude problem. I personally heard him yelling at his staff for no good reason and I think this is unacceptable from any employer (especially in front of a patient).

I would strongly discourage the use of this Dr. As an employee of Florida Hospital his goal is to generate business to the hospital. He is too quick to recommend surgery or radioactive iodine. He doesn’t take a functional medicine approach. I am so glad I changed Dr before he destroyed my thyroid. My new Dr has controlled my condition with diet, stress mgmt, lifestyle change and minimal medication as needed.

In 47 years I have been alive I have never written a bad review on anyone but Dr. Varon was very rude and condescending during a visit and consultation. After that consultation I called back to his office with very serious concerns and got no help. Had to resort to taking expired meds from 2014 and no call back. When I finally got my appointment I was literally 7 minutes late and was denied service per company policy. I would never recommend this type of service. You are worth more then that.

Took me months to get an appointment as a new patient. Staff scheduler doesn't seem willing to work well with new patients as she makes it very difficult to get an appointment.
