Great, last of her kind.
Dr. Gilmore is the last of the type of doctors who LISTEN TO HER PATIENTS SYMPTOMS. She doesn't look at lab results and put you in a square peg of a diagnosis but asks you well rounded questions and gets to the answer. I first saw her in 2005 and it took her a few months to stabilize my thyroid and she kept it running well until 2022 when I was forced to use my new insurance. I went to a new doctor in my network and my health and thyroid function SUFFERED for 1.5 years. I got fed up feeling so terrible I begged her to take me back and I pay out of pocket now. She is the last of her type of caring doctors.

Now I understand
I always dread going to doctors. I feel as though my time should be respected and I should respect their time as well. I have had appointments in the past where if the doctor was over an hour late, I left and never came back. My first appointment here went the same way. That’s where the similarity with other doctors ended. She was so thorough it was amazing. Two hour plus initial consult. Any doctor willing to spend that much time getting to know their patient is a very rare find. Very knowledgeable in her field. I can’t wait to keep going back, I feel like with her and modern medicines I am completly covered. Went over years of history, and went over things that weren’t even necessarily diabetic related but covered overall health and well being. She’s a keeper! So if you read about long wait times, there is a reason. She spends so much time with her patients, feel lucky to be one of them.

Awful wait time, messy office
I was contacted the day of my appointment and asked to come in an hour later, then contacted again and asked to come in another hour later. When I arrived, I was told that I would be expected to wait “over an hour” from then on. When I stated that I needed to reschedule as I need to get home to my baby, I was rudely told that when I come back, I’ll need to be prepared to “wait my turn.” The office was a disaster- full of patient files and a total fire hazard. So disappointing.

My visit with her was the worst I have ever because she wouldn’t even get me some new medication for my type 2 diabetes because she didn’t really care to try anything else that might actually work.

Dr. Gilmore is took very thorough care of me. While there is, sometimes, a wait, once you get to see her, you understand. She takes the time needed for each patient. I don't mind sharing her with other patients and I felt very lucky to have had her treat me!

I would like to say that I did not go to Dr Gilmore to be impressed by her office setting. I was extremely concerned about my health and believe me after a 2-hour wait I believe Dr Gilmore Saved My Life. It is a fact that a messy office is the sign of a genius! She's kind caring considerate of your needs that's why it takes that long. I don't agree with the healthcare system allowing each doctor to have a 10-minute visit whereby nothing is accomplished. You leave feeling the same way you went in and it's never resolved. If your truly concerned about your health she's the one that you need to see!!

Arrived for my appointment on time. After paying my copay and waiting 30 minutes I was told I would have to wait an additional 1 hour. I was also told that this is how the wait is for all appointments with Dr. Gilmore. Unbelievable that a professional operates her business like this. I left after getting refunded. In addition, the office was a disorganized mess. Papers and records everywhere. Completely disappointed.

I really like Dr. Gilmore's care, but she has no respect for her patients' time. She's wildly late (by hours sometimes) and that is just not right.
