I have seen a handful of neurologists across the Denver metro and Dr. Brinley has been one of the most compassionate, pragmatic, and adaptable ones I have seen. During my first appointment, she heard and incorporated my many concerns into her treatment approach. I walked away with several different strategies to try. I saw another neurologist who recommended tweaking one of her treatments to increase the efficacy. Dr. Brinley was very open to trying this approach and collaborating in my care instead of insisting on her original plan as some doctors would. I consider myself very lucky to have Dr. Brinley as my provider.

Julie Reed, new NP for Brinley. No about Brinley.
Participated in an apt with my father-in-law who suffered a brain stem stroke. We met Julie who is new to the clinic. She is arrogant and a typical mid-level provider who only wants to speak and not be spoken too. When asked if my in-laws medical records would be sent to an additional location she put her hand up towards me and said "I'm not gonna deal with that, we don't send someone else's medical records" even though they are the lead in his care for the stroke and made the referral she acted as though sharing his medical records from the initial stroke was not normal. Even though we had already signed a HIPPA release for the referral two months ago, we filled another one out. Don't see her for anything other than a follow up requiring zero guidance or help. She views advocating for yourself or family as an annoyance and brings nothing to the table besides a bad attitude. We requested to not see her again and if our referral goes well in Denver, we won't be back here.

I have had MS for abouy 15 yrs and perhaps 7 or 8 neuros (I was in USAF and then a DOD contractor so I traveled a lot.) I had never had a situation where I was pretty much bedridden from an attack and a neurologist refused to send out a nurse with solumedrol or other treatments to arrest the attack ASAP. But my neurologist Julia Brinley did. Even after pleading for her help, no joy. I'm very disappointed and hopefully someone reads this and takes my advise to move to the next neuro listed.

Wonderful Doctor! She explained everything and provided excellent advice for my pain. Recommend her to anyone needing to see a neurologist. Her nurse Nicole is amazing. They both helped assist me when I was running into roadblocks with the VA. Thank you for caring and the kindness that I received.
