Dr. Julia Burrow, MD

I have needed to find a Mental Health Provider for a while but was overwhelmed with the options. The staff at Julia Burrow and Associates was able to point me in the right direction by asking me just a few questions. Insurance, type of service seeking, etc. I would recommend this office to anyone needing help. Worth every single penny.

I saw Dr. Julie Burrow when I was having a manic episode when I was in my mid/late teens. I am now in my mid 20s, and look back and can only say that Dr. Julie saved my life. I have lived with bipolar disorder since then, and wow did Dr. Julie set the foundation of how I take care of myself. She took the time to listen, really tried to understand what I was going through, and was open to changing medication until it felt manageable. She made the most of our 30/60 minute sessions by asking good leading questions, while making the session feel like a conversation. Regarding the financial aspect, I can say this... you get what you pay for; Doctor Julie is extremely experienced and answered all of our questions about medication management with astounding knowledge. Dr. Julie goes above and beyond - I would highly recommend her to anyone who is concerned about the mental health of their child.

Dr. Burrow’s office has been compassionate and helpful and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Yes, they want to get paid, but imagine how you would feel if your boss shorted your check. That’s what we do to them when we don’t pay. How can they survive without getting paid. Many doctors don’t take Medicaid/Medicare because they are terrible reimbursers. You wouldn’t take a job that paid significantly lower than industry standards so why would you expect Dr. Burrow to? This page should be about care but has been hijacked by people who are so entitled they don’t think they need to pay for services and providers don’t have a right to a paycheck so they can survive.

I called for an appointment, the first question I was asked.. what is your insurance... I told them Medicare with a supplement, not an Advantage Plan, thus no referral needed... the response was... We don't take Medicare, u have to pay out of pocket... Bad first impression...

The officer staff is extremely unfriendly. The finance woman has no idea what she's doing. They refused to make appointments for my child until I paid a $500 bill for a month that she claimed I didn't have insurance (I did) and I later received a letter from a collection agency stating that I owed this office over $600 for bills that I had NEVER received. Our therapist was great, but sadly we had to move to another office.

The worst service ever, they just want $$$$
