Dr. Julia Jackson, DMD

I went for wisdom teeth extraction preliminary appointment. On the first day she demanded we take out the teeth. If you state your preferences, instead of listening she will think you’re arguing and will just start yelling at you. I said for starters I’m not even fasting and I’m not ready to do it today. She then let me go. When I went for actual extraction date, she took me an hour after my scheduled time, was insanely rude, started dancing music before the surgery before I’m even fully sedated, I didn’t even see her after the surgery to ask any questions about follow up care. Absolutely unprofessional, rude, and horrible attitude.

I was referred to Dr. Jackson for an ongoing issue that my regular dentist could see but was unable to treat. I explained in detail that this was not normal for me. Dr. Jackson was condescending, discompassionate, and she gaslit me telling me my issue was a 'normal' sign of aging. As it turns out, it was not. A NURSE PRACTITIONER in my primary's office took my problem seriously and sent a simple swab for testing. I learned it was a common issue treatable with a short course of medication. This was an issue that Dr. Jackson--an oral surgeon--told me was a normal sign of aging. She didn't provide health or care. Terrible.

Dr. Jackson is just the best. Very compassion and caring. She explained the procedure I was going to have in words that I could understand. She took the time to make sure I understood.During the procedure she continued to check to make sure I was fine. The day following my procedure doctor Jackson called me to see how I was doing, and to be sure I understood things I need to do while healing. Her Assistant doing my procedure (8/29/2023) was very nice as well. Everyone in office were very professional. From the time I entered the office until I left, I was treated with the utmost respect.

Worst doctor ever!!! Dr Jackson is VERY RUDE, she rushes, she even started playing music for her to listen to before I fell asleep while doing my surgery. And I have tooth pains from going to her. NEVER AGAIN!

Worst experience ever with this rude doctor. She says ask me any questions but what she really means is ‘don’t you dare ask me questions.’ I never want to see her again.

I never write bad reviews, but my visit with her was a nightmare. Absolutely the most unprofessional doctor I have ever dealt with in my life. Very condescending, rude, aggressive and argumentative, the only thing I needed done were two teeth extracted. I ended up walking out of her office, I do not recommend anyone going to see this person. If I would’ve read the other reviews I would never stepped foot in her office. The reason I went to that office is because Dr. Rasmussen (who unfortunately has retired) extracted my wisdom teeth several years ago. Lesson learned.

Worst experience ever!!! My son end it up in the emergency room due to an infection 20 hours after Dr. Jackson removed his wisdom teeth. Her practice at Manassas, VA does not have an on call doctor after business hours. Unprofessional, lying staff needs training to deal with patients and on top of this the financial lady said " they do not honor contracted fees with insurance company". I have filed a complaint with my insurance company and in the process of filing a complaint with the Virginia Board of Dentistry.

She permanently damages nerves in my mouth. I cant taste or feel one side of my mouth. I constantly bite my tongue because I cant feel it so there is a lot of blood when I eat. All after a simple wisdom tooth extraction. I do NOT recommend Dr Julia Jackson

Hi. I went and saw Dr. Jackson today. She’s an excellent oral-surgeon, and has an excellent support staff as well. I am very happy to have her as my oral-surgeon.

Terrible. I have a condition causing me to lose my teeth, I am used to teeth being pulled. Despite giving her my history or the fact my face was swollen to softball size, she gave 2 doses of Novocain only. Without waiting, she pulled. Told her the numbing hadn't set yet, she glanced at her asst. who held me down, then she yanked out 4 teeth. When my father, there for support, asked why I screamed? She said I just was being a brat and just wanted my father in the room. I was 26. Most pain ever.

She is a nightmare. I have a dental phobia & my dentist’s note suggested it helps if she were to prescribe 1 Valium to calm me before the procedure. She declined saying it would be overmedicating since I wld be having anesthesia. I showed up at 2pm (starving) for my appt having not eaten since midnight as requested by her office. She didn’t take me until 3, & made the last minute decision to just numb me. She scolded me for crying, spoke condescendingly to me, & sent me home w only Tylenol.

Great caring manner....I like Dr Jackson!!
