Rude and Abrupt
As a RN of 40 years I’ve experienced my fair share of obnoxious egotistical surgeons. Lorber checked each box. She was short tempered, condescending, uncaring and blatantly abruptly rude. Perhaps she is a good surgeon but I will never know because I refuse to be spoken to like that again and will not go back to her if she was the last Dr. on earth. I have never spoken to one of my patients like her in my life and never will there is no excuse.

Poor bedside manner - unprofessional
Telehealth
Dr Lorber is someone I dealt with via the on call doctors answering service and to say she was unprofessional would be an understatement. After saying the reason an error in my husbands prescribed medicine after discharge was a systemic issue and also that the attending doctor to the case didn’t finish some part of the paper work, she immediately launched into a combative posture when I expressed without an argumentative tone or frustration at her. There was no profanity used on or with her and I swiftly ended the phone call after advising her she needs to work on her bedside manner. She is not a healer. She is sorely lacking in patient care. I can’t speak to her medical knowledge so perhaps she excels at research.

Dr Lorber is amazing!
I can’t recommend Dr Lorber enough. She is not only smart and knowledgeable but she also takes the time to really listen to you and answer all of your questions. She never rushes you out of her office but takes her time with each patient, that’s why I don’t mind waiting. She performed surgery on my mother and went above and beyond to make sure my mother recovered with ease. She has incredible bedside manner.

Knowledgeable, patient and professional doctor
Dr. Lorber performed my obligatory 60 year old colonoscopy. She and her staff were friendly and spent whatever time it took to review the procedure and insurance coverage. After only about 2 days post-procedure she called me with my results and patiently answered a few of my layman's questions. The whole experience was as good as it could be considering the prep, IV, anesthesia, etc... I would recommend Dr. Lorber to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, patient and professional doctor.

Awful
I had an awful experience with this doctor. I waited for an hour and 15 minutes to be seen after my appointment time. After finally being seen after this long wait she didn’t even apologize for the wait. In addition she had awful bedside manner. Didn’t seem to care about anything that I had to tell her. When I was about to leave, she looked at her appointment printout and rolled her eyes that she still had another patient waiting for her in the waiting room. So awful would not recommend!

I’ve had a hemorrhoid problem ‘brewing’ for years, and it finally came to a head when I found that it hardened and was external. After seeing my GP, I searched here and found Dr. Lorber. Her kind staff, after hearing the extent of my problem: “we need to get you in her right away”. I had an appt the next day. I only waited about 10 minutes in a very busy office. Dr Lorber took me into her office and patiently asked me question about my condition and history. We then went into another treatment room where she examined the hemorrhoid and said she would take care of it right then. About 5 minutes later I was feeling both mental as well as physical relief. She was kind, friendly and concerned. I very highly recommend her.

My husband and I both see Dr. Lorber. She saved him from a misdiagnosis by a previous colorectal doctor. Going to her for a second opinion was the best thing we ever did. She is a great physician! She is intelligent, caring, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Lorber is current with the latest procedures in medicine. She listens and takes the time to explain and answer all your questions. She doesn't rush you. Her staff is friendly and eager to please. I would recommend her highly.

I had issues with hemorrhoids for years. The first surgery I had with another specialist only gave me about five months relief before coming back with a vengeance. I had a very poor quality of life as a result of internal and external, bleeding hemorrhoids, trying every cream, ointment and suppository that I could get my hands on, all to no avail. Dr. Lorber was recommended to me by my gastro, and I thank God for that. She examined me, carefully explained what procedure she’d perform to give me an optimal outcome, and was frank about the post-op discomfort and recovery (don’t worry: if you had the terrible issues I did, a few days of soreness was a great trade-off) I would experience. The surgery came off without a hitch. Recovery was complete within about three months, and Dr. Lorber—in a follow-up exam—assured me the issues I had would not return. It has been just short of one year today since the surgery and things are GREAT. Dr. Lorber is the best at her specialty!

Dr. Lorber is an amazing physician and human being. My mom had very aggressive colon cancer and Dr. Lorber performed a very successful surgery during very stressful Covid-19 times. She made the entire process easier from beginning to end by being extremely caring and supportive. We have never met such a top doctor who’s so humble and kind as Dr. Lorber and we’re eternally grateful to her for saving my mom’s life. Her office staff is extremely helpful and wonderful, as well. They all made us feel like we’re part of their family. Thank you again, Dr. Lorber and may God bless you and protect you.

Dr. Lorber is absolutely fantastic. Down to earth, very kind, funny, smart, and gentle (important in her line of work!). Her office staff is top notch and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone who's got problems with being butthurt! I went into the appointment knowing I would receive care - the simplest expectation of any doctor visit - but I had no idea I would be so well-cared for. The whole office took care of me in a really fantastic and wholesome way. Endless thanks to every member of the staff and enormous gratitude to the doctor herself. What a fantastic office visit.

I had a bad experience with Dr. Lorber. Aside from her lack of compassion and bedside manner, Dr. Lorber misdiagnosed me. She was indignant when she read my gastroenterologist’s colonoscopy report which, according to her, indicated that I had untreated microscopic colitis. As a result of her interpretation of this report, I began being treated for this condition. My new gastroenterologist showed me the actual report which stated r/o microscopic colitis which means ruled out. She didn’t see that.

Dr. Lorber is my new bff! I initalially felt uncomfortable discussing my hemorrhoid isssue with anyone but after meeting with her, she put all that anxieties to rest. She made me feel at ease and offered a solution to rid me of my issue. I am looking forward to have a better quality of life now that Dr. Lorber is my doctor. The staff may seem alittle standoff-ish but they are just as helpful and professional as the doc. I would highly recommend a consult with Dr. Lorber.
