Dr. Jun Kong, MD

Stop and smell the roses. I am a human and many peoples needs revolve around mental health. He was not at all empathetic. He assumes and does not have a conversation. Other people within the practice are fantastic. I will not be going to him again.

I have been with Dr. Kong for 5 years, and have very good experience with him and the office. Through the BSWHealth portal, they respond quickly to med requests, information and documentation. He sits with me and discusses current thinking around certain health activities, meds, and doesn't make changes without thought and methodical approach. Although he is busy, as are many good doctors, I find time to meet with him and appreciate his care.

My wife saw Dr. Kong for a general checkup as well as to verify her ADHD diagnosis for the purpose of exam accommodations. The dual purpose of the appointment was made clear to the staff, but Dr. Kong was not aware of this, so he accused my wife of wasting his time even though there was a lack of communication within his office. Then, while admitting that he wasn’t an ADHD expert, he told my wife that she did not deserve accommodations and accused her of trying to cheat on her exams; to be clear, this kind of exam accommodation is something my wife has received in the recent past with no hiccups. Also, he conveyed that it wasn’t worth his time to fill out the minimal paperwork required for her accommodation, though that’s well within his job description. He was very rude. By the end of the appointment my wife was left confused and in tears. TL;DR: Dr. Kong is a great choice if you want to be accused of lying and wasting his time, when really he will just waste your time and copay.

Staff is ignorant, rude and incompetent. Dr. Kong is knowledgeable and thorough, but his below-terrible staff ruined the visit.Would recommend Dr . Kong if staff is upgraded.

I switched my children once they were around 14 to Dr. Kong. All are off on their own and ever single one laments not being in Dallas and having Dr. Kong. He has been my doctor since he took over the practice. Always empathetic and helpful. He finds out what you need, if he doesn't immediately know.

I've been seeing Dr. Kong for years along with my wife, and we think the world of him.

I've been seeing Dr. Kong since 2001. He's always been thoughtful in my care, and his office team has always been great as well. Visits are quick and painless, and he is not quick to prescribe medications that are unnecessary (which is important to me). I've recommended him to many people over the years- and all agree that he is great.

He is very unprofessional, the lack of communication is very disturbing. Personally, I will never be coming to visit him. There are way better options out there, please be aware.

Everyone rating Dr. Kong less than four stars is an idiot. He's great. Don't listen to idiots.

Dr. Kong has been my PCP since 2000. He is great and shoots straight. He has helped me with a myriad of issues and receive prompt attention. I have always been able to get an appointment within a day and never wait long. I do not understand why his reviews are low.

OMG, Dr Kong should have a solid 5 star rating. I've been going to doctor Kong for over 10 years now and I can say unequivocally that he is the best and most thorough doctor I have every had. I am over 50 years old and have been to dozens of doctors in my life and he is really the kind of doctor you want to have taking care of you. He doesn't watch the clock. He thoroughly listens to all your concerns and addresses every single one of them. Just an amazingly conscientious doctor. THE BEST!

I met with him before a flight as I suffer from flight anxiety. I appreciate him and his team being able to accommodate my last minute request. However, I left the appointment feeling guilty about my fear. To be fair, he seemed to be a good doctor. My issue was probably a bit out of his realm of expertise. So, I would advise seeing a specialist for any psychological needs.

Dr. Kong is caring, compassionate, a very good diagnostic, easy to talk to. Overall a great physician!

Dr. Kong is just the kind of doctor I want. He is matter of fact, which I could see how some could misconstrue as cold but he is kind. He does his absolute best to not keep you waiting, and he always answers all of my (many) questions. He even calls me personally with test results. He's been my doctor now for several years and I have recommended him to others.

I've been going to Dr. Kong as my PCP for over 10 years now. I appreciate that he provides thorough yet easy to understand explanations of not only the conditions and treatments, but his decision process in determining the issue and treatment. I believe the mark of a person who knows their area of expertise well is the ability to explain it well to a layperson without resorting to jargon or oversimplification. He excels at this and thus I always leave feeling confident my concerns were addressed

I find him easy to talk to and always enjoy my experiences with him. He's been my PCP for over two years now.
