Minimal invasive surgery, pain is gone
I researched Surgeons in Utah with experience doing the surgery I thought I needed. I visited a chiropractor for a few months and while it helped some, the pain down my right leg and across my posterior was getting worse and lasting longer. I no longer did many things I had done regularly. Had an MRI to see what the findings would say. Now I felt there were issues that weren't getting better without surgery. I didn't want to fuse disks if possible. Dr. Hohl was easy to talk with. He listened to my feedback and suggested how we should proceed. His office checked with my insurance to determine coverage. Dr. Hohl was able to schedule a surgery quickly as I had concern about recovery in time for summer activities I needed to be involved with. The pain I suffered with is now gone from my leg and posterior. Dr. Hohl accomplished what I had hoped for! His office staff were kind and helpful. I would be confident to go to Dr Hohl again with any further back issues.

Dr Hohl performed a c3-c7 ACDF and it was a complete success. The pain is gone and I can sleep again. Both Dr Hohl and his PA Preston were committed to helping alleviate my problems. Highly recommended!

When I first visited Dr. Hohl in August, 2017, after seeing the MRI and X-rays, he suggested that I try spinal injections to see if it would relieve the pain. For the next year, I experienced very little pain. When the back pain returned, I tried injections again, but they weren't effective. Dr. Hohl then gave me two options - spinal fusion or a spinal decompression. He suggested that the decompression might give me the pain relief I needed. He performed a spinal decompression January, 2019. It has now been more than 6 months and I remain completely pain free. I appreciated this more conservative option rather than a spinal fusion. I also appreciated that Dr. Hohl explained carefully what my options were. He was very professional in his approach and is a great surgeon. Thank you

This has been very upsetting and disturbing experience. I have been treated for back problems scheduled for surgery when my problem is my hip why didn't Dr hohl look at my exrays or lighten to my complaints instead was in such a hurry to to surgery. I am telling anyone reading this do not trust that they know what they are doing.

I was told by another physician I was not a candidate for back surgery I needed to live with the pain. Dr. Hohl, and his staff explained the process in detail and told me I did not need to live with this pain. He did an excellent job, he is so knowledgeable and is an excellent surgeon. I was so worried about getting this back surgery but I am so glad I did, my pain is gone. I have already recommend him to someone who needs a back operation and will do so in the future. Thank you

When I went to see Dr. Hohl, I was in tremendous pain. After considering my MRI he made it possible for me to receive my surgery very quickly. He skillfully resolved my problem and significantly reduced my pain and improved my mobility. His surgery was the least invasive option possible to gain the most dramatic effect. I am very appreciative and highly recommend him for both his skill as a surgeon and the manner in which I and my wife were treated by him and his excellent staff.

Dr. Hohl is an excellent surgeon. He performed my surgery for a herniated disc and he gave me my life back. I am so grateful to him. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend my family and friends to him if they are ever in need. After reviewing my MRI, his receptionist called me within 15 minutes to schedule an appointment. He told me I would benefit from surgery and we scheduled for two weeks later. I was scared but he put me at ease. I would recommend him 100%.

Dr. Hohl spent more time than expected listening to me describe my concerns. Dr. Hohl was honest in describing his concerns and expectations regarding surgery, and explained his position as being more conservative with surgical procedures and why. Surgery was needed, and upon coming out of anesthesia I immediately noticed the pain I had experienced for years was gone. Dr. Hohl continues to provide ample time in follow up visits, understanding my recovery and answering questions.
