I complained of leg pain for 2 months and was continually told Karen it’s your body! After two months of the same analysis I was ready for action! After I “lost it”Dr, Hallander then said you have Pagets Disease! After operating, no Paget’s disease was found! Actually the rod that was put in my leg needed to be cemented!!! I have gone through 6 months o agonizing pain for his diagnosis!,

Dr. Hollander did two Total Hip Replacements, one in January 2021 and one in March 2021. What an amazing experience this has been and I am so thrilled to be able to walk normal again. Of course I did the exercises I was supposed to do and followed through with physical therapy. I live in Alpena so traveling to Traverse City many times wasn't always so pleasant but so thankful I made the decision to go out of town. I would recommend Dr. Hollander to anyone in need of his services.

Dr. Hollander explains exactly what he can do, how it will be done and post operative care. He is there making sure everything went well after surgery and buys the coffee! I am more than satisfied with his skill and patient care. Highly recommend him!

Dr Hollander ruined my knee. He made me wait in a room for 14 hours until he saw all his patients all day. In the meantime my muscles atrophied. After 2 more surgeries and an infection he ignored, I found a new surgeon and he fixed my knee

Absolutely amazing. Dude did exactly what he said he would, and results exceeded my expectations. He has a very informal bedside manner which made me feel very much at ease. So easy to work with at every appointment, always friendly, never hurried, always knowledgeable, confident, and professional. A++ for this guy. Highly recommended.

Went for pain in my shoulder. Dr. Hollander said he was going to give me an injection of cortisone to relieve the pain. He had his assistant give me the injection, all the while giving this assistant non-verbal cues to perform the procedure...Dr. Hollander never said a word. No MRI, no ultra-sound to guide the needle. Turns out he injected the cortisone into my rotator cuff instead of the joint, causing further damage and pain. That was back in June 2018 and I still can't move my shoulder!

Dr Hollander Did my Total Hip Replacement when other Surgeons turned me down and gave excuses because I was taking the medication Suboxone. He understood it would take much more pain medication after surgery to manage my pain than a normal person because of the Suboxone. He was wonderful and wasn't afraid to deal with my special needs.The office staff and nurses were very kind, efficient and helpful. They are really good at what they do! My Hip is better than new!
