After meeting with Dr. Santarelli today about my husband's possible brain aneurysm, I knew we were in the right hands. Dr. Santarelli took the time to sit down with my husband and myself to discuss why we had come to him and what he saw in the scans and reports he received. He was kind, compassionate, and had a great bedside manner. He didn't speak in medical jargon but in words we were able to understand. So grateful!
After reading the medical record surgical intervention notes, it was obvious that Dr Santarelli is not only knowledgeable, but has incredible wisdom and skill! His ability to repetitively alter the surgical plan based on the obstacles and challenges encountered during non-invasive brain surgery was truly remarkable. The in-person follow-up visit with Dr. Santarelli at WMC was informative. He summarized the procedure, answered questions about the medications and explained the rationale for two up-coming follow-up tests. We feel extraordinarily blessed to have had his expertise for our emergency situation!

This gifted surgeon saved me from quadriplegia in 2015....removed 4 cervical discs and added 8 screws. I now walk, drive and give thanks for his skill!

He put himself out there as a super expert. But of course when you have a brain bleed there is no time to look around. So who knows. And outcome was not good at all. Not sure if he could have done anything about that. For sure I would give him a zero for bedside manner
