Excellent surgeon and well-run practice
Dr. Dagly is a gifted, caring hand surgeon. I suffered an ulnar radial fracture of my left wrist. He performed a three-hour surgery to insert two rods and reattach my hand to my forearm. A year later, after a full year of hand therapy, I have regained nearly full use of my hand. Throughout the process, Dr. Dagly was attentive, answering all questions and encouraging me to keep working at therapy. The practice is very well run and the staff is professional and courteous. You won't go wrong seeing Dr. Dagly.

Outstanding!
Dr. Dagly went above and beyond coming to a hospital he is not currently at, but has Privileges to work at, to perform surgery on an infected finger joint which was very bad. Several calls were made to find a hand surgeon to do the surgery but none wanted to or were available. He not only came within hours of getting the call he did so in a caring and compassionate manner. In all of my dealings with him he is competent, professional, kind and explains everything thoroughly. I would not hesitate to refer a family member or friend to him. It was unsettling for me as a patient to be in a hospital for 9 days and on an IV for 6 weeks after coming home. He was the person I had complete confidence in once he took the case!

My name is Sister Pia, and I'm a Benedictine Nun who had a great privilege to meet Dr. Kamal Dagly when I was about to lose my left hand due to severe entrapment of the ulnar nerve in my elbow. At that time, I didn’t have much strength left in my hand. I couldn’t use the keyboard anymore which disallowed me to work, nor could I hold anything in my hand. I have to add that I’m a short statured person (3’6”) with challenging body structure, including my arms. I remember when I met Dr. Dagly, how fast he diagnosed my problem, and how compassionately he took care of me. He gave me hope, he was willing to save my hand. So he undertook the challenge and performed a surgery, decompression and transposition of the ulnar nerve. The nerve regenerated sooner than expected. Today I praise and thank the Lord for putting Dr. Dagly on my life’s path, because with his unique knowledge, and an outstanding surgical skill he was able to save my hand. I would strongly recommend dr. Kamal Dagly to all!

Dr. Dagly diagnosed and repaired a torn shoulder muscle that has bothered me for year. Everything went according to plan I wish I went to him earlier! Been through plenty of doctors that have failed to even diagnose me properly. Dr. Dagly and his staff treated me great. He really cares about his patients

We called Dr. Dagly's office on a Saturday evening when our college softball player daughter injured her finger during a game in upstate New York. When she called us from the local urgent care in a panic after being told she needed to see a hand surgeon, we immediately contacted the LI Hand to Shoulder Center as Dr. Ellstein previously treated her for a badly broken wrist. Dr. Dagly promptly called and instructed us to send him the X-rays taken at the urgent care. During a conference call with our daughter, he expertly diagnosed the condition and prescribed a treatment plan. We have received outstanding medical care from Drs. Dagly, Ellstein, and Hochwald.

I was in the emergency room in the evening with an extremely serious hand&wrist break. Dr Dagly was called and wanted to see me the next day and preformed emergency surgery the following day. I was able to regain full rotation & use of my hand&wrist due to the excellent surgery by Dr Dagly and excellent physical therapy received at the hand center.

I previously left a 2 star review because some of the office staff were not wearing masks. I realized however that this was not fair to Dr. Dagly. He has given me excellent treatment both times as I have seen him and I highly recommend him for his care and concern for me as a patient.

Dr Dagly treated our 11 year old daughter for a Seymour Fracture of her middle finger. After clearly explaining the injury, its risks and treatment plan, he patiently listened to our many questions. He spoke with us as a fellow concerned parent without any pretention. Dr. Dagly is truly a credit to the medical profession. He is a tremendously gifted physician and a genuinely kind and considerate person. The whole team at LI Hand and Shoulder is phenomenal!

Dr Dagly operated on my rotator cuff back in August of 2017. He did a fantastic job! I am back at 100% and currently on a progressive strength regiment in less than 7 months. He is has an excellent "bed side" demeanor and puts the patient at ease. I highly recommend him as a surgeon for this type of operation.
