Dr. Kami Park, MD

This physician treated my mother as her GP back in 2001. My mother saw her over and over for a year for passing blood in her urine. It went progressively from a small amount all the way through massive amounts of blood and clots. She was told that it was 'female problems', or 'my mom had this and it was a bladder infection', or a 'kidney infection'. She never ran any tests though. I kept telling mom to go somewhere else, but she wouldn't. After the year she was in so much pain that I demanded she send her to a urologist. Renal Cell Carcinoma. The tumor was so big that they had no choice but to remove the kidney. Who is so arrogant as to diagnose someone without any tests? I don't care how nice you are, you still have a responsibility to your patients, and their families. I was very disappointed when I found out that she was the hospitalist at McCullough-Hyde hospital while my mom was an inpatient recently. And she stayed pretty true to form. Not reading the history and notes.

It was a privilege to be a patient of Dr. Kami Park. She was thorough with explanations about my husbands and my health so that we could understand our symptoms and how to treat them. She took care of us as if we were a family member. Of all the family practice doctors that have treated me over the years, Dr. Park is undoubtedly the best. We have moved out of state and hope that we can find a doctor comparable to Dr. Park. Thank you Dr. Park for all you have done for us.

Dr. Park cared for my mother during a recent hospitalization. The amount of time that Dr. Park spent educating my mom and our family regarding her condition was extremely appreciated. Dr. Park has incredible attention to detail and wonderful follow through. We felt as if my mom was her only patient given the individualized attention we got. We feel so fortunate that Dr. Park will continue to be my mom's doctor post-hospitalization, and know we are in the best possible hands.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Park to others because of her compassionate bedside manner, her excellent listening skills, and how she responds to patient questions. Dr. Park demonstrates excellent attention to all details and aspects of the patient's medical condition.
