Dr. Kandy Bahadur, MD

Dr. Bahadur is amazing and hands down our favorite pediatrician! I love her bedside manner. She’s so attentive, caring, knowledgeable and makes us feel seen, secure and safe. Sometimes you can feel like just another number during a doctor’s visit and that has never been the case with her. She is very involved in my son’s care and so committed. We absolutely love her!

I have never experienced a pediatrician quite like Dr. Bahadur before. We were new to the practice and had an appt with her. We could email the doctor with concerns before our appt, so I took the opportunity to email her through the patient's portal to introduce myself and our son. I suspected my son might have ADD, so I had many questions & concerns. Dr. Bahadur responded within a few hours and responded to our many different queries. She was kind, warm, and friendly when we met at our appointment. My son liked her too. She helped our son get evaluated for ADD. She never pushed and supported us when we weren't initially comfortable medicating our son. When we were ready, Dr. Bahadur was with us during the new experience, including having weekly virtual meetings about his health. We were very nervous, but she answered our questions and comforted us. We cannot ask for a perfect caring doctor; Dr. Bahadur helped us navigate our son's diagnosis and journey. We are so thankful to her!!

Dr Bahadur is incredible! Thoughtful, nurturing and smart. My kids love her and immediately feel at ease with her, as a new parent she provided invaluable support. She supports and cares about our whole family, I feel so lucky to have her as our ped!

After a not great experience with a different pediatric practice, I researched a lot of different practices and their physicians, and decided to go with Dr. Bahadur. It was the best decision I made. She took her time to get to know my kids and helped them feel comfortable. Appointments were never rushed, and I always felt like she responded to all of my questions. She was extremely prompt in responding to emails, and I completely trusted her advice. Dr. Bahadur is an exceptional pediatrician and I feel so grateful that we found her.

Dr. Bahadur has been an exceptional practitioner with excellent bedside manner, clinical insight and updated knowledge she applies to practice in a passionate, professional, individualized manner. I have a two year old and a 6month old; she has been their primary physician since birth. Dr. Bahadur answers all questions and makes herself available should questions arise between appointments. She is open to dialogue, feedback and considers one’s cultural as it relates to medicine and the needs of the patient. She is honest, sincere and has never recommended or prescribed anything that is not necessary.

Dr. Bahadur has been a terrific fit for our family! We have a 10 yo and a now 2 yo. Dr. Bahadur has been with us for 3 years now and we absolutely love her! She is thorough, patient, friendly, outgoing, attentive, and extremely responsive to physical and emotional needs. Both boys have come to her with a variety of issues including allergies, daycare ailments, questions around sleep, anxieties, and breathing issues and she has always met us with listening ears, a thorough physical, and tests when needed as well as an array of options to deal with the issues. Any family would be super lucky to have Dr. Bahadur on their care team!

I think every new mama has this idea of the type of parent they'll be, but sometimes when the baby arrives, all that goes out the window. You're in survival mode and trying to do your best to make the right decisions for this tiny soul. Dr. Bahadur guided us every step of the way and I don't know how we'd have faired the first year of our daughter's life without her. We interviewed Dr. Bahadur on zoom during the pandemic, and from that moment on she was excellent! I was diagnosed with IUGR and when Dr. Bahadur met us in the hospital, she told me that she also had the same condition with her child, which immediately put me at ease. She was understanding when I was nervous about certain medicines and vaccines, given how tiny my baby was, and worked with us to develop a schedule that was safe for her to participate in age-appropriate activities. Any family that has Dr. Bahadur by their side is lucky, as she takes excellent care of all of her patients and treats them like her own.

Dr. Bahadur has been seeing my children since we first moved to Maplewood in 2020 (I now have 3 kids — ages 1, 3, and 7). She is by far the best pediatrician I’ve ever had — so incredibly warm and attentive, truly LISTENS to my concerns, gives practical advice, and just has a special gift for connecting with children (I’m still amazed at how she was able to get my terrified toddler to trust her and get through his appt, because he started off refusing everything!). Dr. Bahadur has always gone above and beyond to give my children the care that is needed, and I appreciate how she uses both her medical background as well as her own real life experience as a mother to tailor her advice. She’s moving to a new location and my husband and I are devastated, but I know any future family is in good hands with Dr. Bahadur.

Dr. Bahadur has been taking care of my two kids (now 6 and 3) since we moved to New Jersey three years ago. She's truly an incredible doctor and person, and she's played a big positive part in our kids' health and well-being. Dr. Bahadur gets to know kids and parents as people. She's enthusiastic and encouraging. She's great at engaging kids and making them feel comfortable. She remembers details from visits every time, even if it's been months. She gives really sound medical guidance & always answers questions thoughtfully - big and small. We've had some complex medical issues with our son, and I've always left our visits knowing he has the absolute best support. As a mom, I really couldn't ask for a better partner for my kiddos' care. I'm so grateful she's in our kids lives!

Dr. Bahadur is the best pediatrician. She took care of my little guy since he was born. She is very caring, she always takes time to answer any questions I have. She never rushed the appointment just the opposite. Very very knowledgeable and experienced. My child had rsv and she was able to diagnose right away compared to the pediatrician on call. She is reachable at any time. Always answered my online inquiries within a day. If I have an emergency (kids get sick) she will do her best she can fit you in to see your child. She cares of her patients, its not just a job for her. She will always follow up with a massage if my kid is good. Amazing doctor and very friendly I will highly recommend her without hesitation. If she's in your area you are lucky. Just the Best! She will definitely take care of your child for sure.

We have been patients of Dr. Bahadur for nearly 3 years, and I've never had a better experience with a pediatrician. She's seen my now 2.5 year old since birth as well as my 5 year old. We love Dr. Kandy because she is warm, deeply knowledgeable, friendly, and takes her time with our visits. She creates a safe and trusting atmosphere and engages with my children directly as her patients and never talks past them. She remembers the little details and is wonderful at building trust with my children. We have never felt rushed, and Dr. Kandy addresses all of our concerns (no matter how big or small) with researched-backed information. She's incredibly responsive and available. She escalates to specialists appropriately and can speak to the latest research and studies. She helped us make informed decisions about managing risks when we had a newborn during the pandemic. Dr. Kandy has regularly gone above and beyond in her care for us. I trust her fully and have recommended her to friends.

We switched from another practice 3 years ago and wished we had done it sooner. Dr Bahador is the most compassionate and caring Dr I've ever come across. She never made me feel bad for any of my concerns even if I was being extra. She always remembers everything without even looking in her notes. She takes the time to get to know you. I feel she completely understood me as a parent. She is very knowledgeable and always explains things and the science behind it. Dr Bahador ilhas always been very proactive in any issues with my kids. But the biggest thing that stand out to me and will forever be grateful to her for is her compassion towards my child who suffers from depression and anxiety. She validated her feelings and talked to her giving her options to make her feel in control of what was going on with her. Dr Bahador treated my child with the upmost respect and she felt heard. And for that I will forever be grateful to Dr Bahador!

Dr. Bahadur has been our son’s pediatrician since birth (now 15 months). We have felt so well taken care of by her — she not only patiently answers all of our questions, but she has taken the time to get to know us as parents too. Our son loves her (isn’t afraid of his doc appointments!) and we do too. Highly recommend.

Dr. Bahadur has cared for my daughters for several years. She always takes an exceptional amount of time to hear any concerns, truly remembers details about them without having to refer to their chart, and is very responsive to offline communications as well. She was supportive and helpful in our baby led weaning journey and navigated some unclear GI issues. Her bedside manner is wonderful, and my kids love her. Truly an “old school” doctor who clearly cares about her patients while being progressive with her treatment options and knowledge. She’s an asset to the practice.

Went in yesterday for 2 children’s well visit and 1 additional child happen to be unwell and she saw all 3. Dr. Bahadur has been my children’s doctor for 7 years. She has been there for all of my children from the first week of birth till this date. She is always knowledgeable about the concern(s), diagnosis and treatment options (yes, she provides options, allowing you to take part of what is the effective treatment). She takes her time, has a great memory, never feeling rushed, answers all questions/concerns, and detailed oriented as well as solution driven. She is personable, a great listener, and empathetic, never condescending or arrogant. Most importantly, treats my children as her own and how she would want her own to be treated.” Her day to day practice is phenomenal. If you’re looking for a wholistic approach that is not only modern but integrated, Dr. Kandy Bahadur is one of the best. Honestly, what child won’t want to say my doctor name is Kandy ( Can•dy).

Dr. Bahadur has been my daughter’s doctor since she was born 3 and a half years ago. My daughter just LOVES her. She has a wonderful, warm way about her that makes both kids and parents feel comfortable and at ease. She’s super thorough, knowledgeable, and takes the time to really listen. All these reasons are why when we moved, we continued to make the drive. Highly recommend!

Too lazy to document ailments or prescriptions. Appointments always feel rushed and answers are text book driven not based on scientific studies. You won’t find her quoting recent studies because she doesn’t keep up. I don’t trust she knows enough to give sound medical advice. If you want a more integrative approach to healthcare and a detailed comprehensive medical history for your child, look elsewhere.

She’s a wonderful pediatrician...she’s listening all our concerns patiently...Her explanation about our concern is awesome...
