I have MS, fibromyalgia, spinal disorders, needless to say, if one condition isn't disturbing everyday function , then another disorder is . The constant pain has taken a toll on my body for over 6 years, overwhelming in my ability to live or at this point even wanting to live. Today after waiting an hour for my initial greeting by Monis, was that "You are taking too long I usually leave at noon". No assessment, no review of my medical issues, he basically gave me 3 different excuses for not wanting to treat bottomline because of my MS. The way he spoke to me was degrading, humiliating, and waste of valuable time and energy. I left in tears. Then realized he left report for Prescription Monitoring Program that I can safely say was his reason for his discriminating behavior. Info on report was outdated and low scored. IF you have legitimate pain he is not the person to see. I left feeling not only physical but mental pain from his lack of empathy and behavior. Accountability pendi

I needed to see a new pain management doctor and I ended up seeing PA Monis. There was absolutely NO PRIVACY since there was this other person in the room that I assumed was his assistant. That person was never introduced to me. I was disturbed by the fact that PA Monis took all the clues and answered some of my questions from what this other person told him. I was totally dissatisfied with this lack of one-to-one contact between patient & provider. It was a total waste of time. I let him know that due to my medical history I needed someone who could do facet injections or nerve blocking and that I was going to find me another provider. The week after this visit I received 2 calls trying to schedule for an MRI that PA Monis had ordered even after he was told that he wasn't going to be my pain management provider.

Dr. Monis is an amazing pain management doctor. I have been seeing him for the past 6 Years. He let's you ask questions and he wants to make sure you are not suffering. That said, he will not prescribe ridiculous amounts of medications or whatever you ask for, but he will help with your pain. He has very skilled hands at finding the best areas for epidural injections and works well with spinal cord stimulation. The only negative is that he runs very, very behind. But worth the wait.

Dr. Monis is a highly sought after specialist in his field. However, office (exam room) wait time was one hour at each of my appointments. My time is valuable as well as his time. I'm very disappointed. Also, he spent very little time me overall and I felt rushed.

I trust Dr. Monis, and I do think is very knowledgeable I did have to wait 21 days for his next avail appointment when i had to reschedule due to illness (I did have a medication shortage and had to deal with it on my own.) Dr. Monis doesn't spend much time in an appointment. He assumes I know things when I have don't unless he tells me. I have to ask questions in the hall every apt when he should have talked to me enough during the appointment to explain treatment every time.

He is an amazing doctor! Babcock location is very good. Dr. Monis is very compassionate and will listen and talk with you. I have had other pain specialists look down on me because of my insurance. He treats me with respect and kindness. Great man and great doctor. Sure dont have many like this anymore.
