Dr. Emerson was an excellent counselor. Smart, insightful and fun to work with.

We had the same thing happen as one of the other reviewer’s had. My children had been seeing her for 6+ years. She was wonderful and really connected especially with my daughter. All of a sudden she completely ghosted both of my children with absolutely no way of getting in touch with her after multiple attempts. After treating my children for that long, how do you completely ghost vulnerable children who are in need of a service that they relied heavily upon you for many years? Don’t waste your time.

Truly listens and clearly cares about not only your child as an individual but the entire family too. Knows her stuff and has a sense of humor, thankfully! Would benefit from administrative staff as there are occasional delays in communication but nothing awful. Would absolutely refer to family and friends (and have)!

She was fabulous at first and a great fit for our daughter. Then suddenly she became impossible to contact and has now completely GHOSTED my daughter

Dr. Emerson is practical and straightforward with parents and patients. My kids and I all appreciate and respond well to her "no b.s." approach, but others might prefer someone more warm and fuzzy. But she is a great fit for me and my kids (both boys). I also appreciate that she respects our preferences re: whether to medicate, etc. She handles her own scheduling which means there is sometimes a delay in hearing back, etc. But nothing too bad.

The initial visit with our daughter was great. She had me sign a release so that she could discuss our daughters plan of care but then Dr. Emerson moved her office. Our daughter saw her again and Dr. Emerson would not return our calls after we called her and left three voicemails. When she charges $225 an hour it is expected that she would at least return a phone call!
