Dr. Karen Benz, DO

I started going to Dr. Benz this year after many failed attempts with other OBYGN's. I am always able to get one of her staff on the phone when I have questions and they are very flexible with my schedule. Dr Benz and her staff take their time to discuss my issues, never feel rushed like other doctors. Glad I found her and won't go anywhere else!

Truth is I love Dr. Benz, we've been in a long term relationship, we've been through locations and staff changes. She's delivered my children and a couple of my grandchildren; She's a fantastic doctor, but her staff now does not reflect who she is. One staffer, in particular by the name of Shannon, is very rude, unprofessional, and has the full potential to ruin Dr. Benz's practice singlehandedly. Managing people myself, I understand that it's becoming more challenging to retain good help, so you try to work with who you have. The problem is the damage these people do will manifest, maybe not now, but it's coming. Negative energy is one of the worse things to encounter walking through the door, and that same negative energy is the reason I walked right back out. Dr. Benz, there will be patients that will leave and never tell you why I want you to know your staffer Shannon does not reflect who I know you to be, and if I have to go through her to get to you, this ends our relationship.

Unfortunately, she was the on call doctor that delivered my first child. She was not knowledgeable and should have performed a c-section after I pushed way too many hours. Her response to me after hemorrhaging and almost bleeding to death was “Didn’t you know having a baby wasn’t going to feel good?” She made a bad situation worse. After I delivered my other children with a new doctor I realized how much better my experience should have been!

Dr. Karen Benz is the best Gynecologist I have had! She takes her time with patients and is very compassionate and very knowledgeable. She has new staff and those girls are amazing, they greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked in the office. They are all so kind and professional. If I could give 10 stars I would. I highly recommend this doctor!!!

Dr. Benz delivered my 6th and final child. She was a pro but still kind and compassionate. She didn't make me feel nervous about my 5th C-section and performed the procedure without any problems for my baby or myself.

Unprofessional office management, very rude

Horrible service, years back we loved Dr. Karen but now it has just gotten so bad! The front desk skills are horrible.

I have had this physician as my Gynecologist since approximately the mid to latter 90's. She is positive and friendly. Loves children as shown by numerous photos of babies on the wall. You can tell she enjoys her work. She works with young women, mothers, and seniors. I have stayed with her all these years as she provides satisfactory service for my yearly annual.

I do not recommend this Doctor at all! The worst service . The whole staff is incompetent. They took a week to give me my prescription . Let me save you some time go to someone who is empathetic & knowledgeable!!

Dr Benz is a wonderful doctor and her new staff is amazing. Very attentive and great bed side manner.

Dr. Benz has always been great. She answers all my questions and is never rushed.

I wish I read there reviews before I went in. I'm currently 6 months pregnant and been kicked to the curb by Dr. Benz the minute I changed insurance took over a week for them to call back and told me it's up to me to find a new doctor. It's been almost 2 weeks and they still haven't sent my medical records over so I'm accepted by a new doctor. Her staff is rude especially billing lady and I feel rushed every time I had an apt. It's my first child and I wish she cared about her patience (2017-18)

Dr. Benz was very professional and very in tune to my condition and best course of treatment I needed.

I would not recommend Dr. Benz to my worst enemy! Not only is she mentally abusive to her employees but she also doesn't care about her patients or what they need. All the way from patients never getting lab results to never referring high risk patients to the specialist that they need to see. I have heard Dr. Benz tell her employees " if I don't get to go to lunch, YALL don't get to go to lunch", absolutely unprofessional. Take this women's license away already!

She is one of the sweetest, most caring I have met. Dr Benz delivered my daughters baby on December 24,2016 @ Baylor downtown Fort Worth. She had to do an emergency c-section at the last minute because my daughter is soo petite she could not deliver vaginally. Dr Benz showed her concern the whole time. She walked my daughter and myself thru everything. She stayed on top of everything. My daughter loved her. She felt comfortable because the Dr. showed her compassion and we felt her sincerity.

No she is a good Dr. She is. Very educated she knows what she is doing. I consider her like family she delivered my babies. I know her for a. Long time. She is the best out their.

Wait time is usually 45-90 mins. Staff are unfriendly. The only reason that keeps me going to this office is Dr. Melanie. She's the best! So personable and caring. Makes you feel like you're the only one she's taking care of. Never rushed and willing to answer your questions, even via phone call. Not a fan of Dr. Benz. I feel like her staff are the way they are because of her attitude and demeanor.

Extremely pleasant and beyond impressed with my experience at this office. Staff is very friendly and Dr. Melanie Lagomichos is wonderful!!

Dr. Benz was the on-call doctor who delivered my baby. The first moment I met her, she lacked bedside manner. She was angry at the nurses for calling her too soon, even though my baby was showing signs of distress, criticized me for not using the skills I "learned in class", did not answer my questions and was condescending when I asked her to explain her medical jargon. I also felt she had better places to be and was rushing me along and was aggressive with me. No respect for birth plan.
