Out of pocket WASTE
I had a highly disappointing experience as a visitor to the healthcare provider. Despite having an appointment for my developmentally delayed son, they didn't accept our Medicaid coverage, leading to a $300 out-of-pocket expense. They prescribed a blood pressure medication as a sleep aid, which made us uncomfortable, requiring us to cut the pill into quarters. During the scheduled EEG test, there were multiple technical issues that took a significant amount of time to resolve, leaving only 10 minutes for the actual test. The staff assured us it would be sufficient, but our son's sleeping aid had worn off. Dr. Skjei was quick and provided no information except for the fact that we would not be seen again since our son doesn't have seizures. We felt neglected and unimportant, considering the time and money we invested in this visit. Sharing this review to prompt improvements for other families facing similar experiences.

Smart and fun and kind. Made my son smile and laugh. Have seen 3 other neurologists in past and nothing helped. Dr Skjei found the right treatment and now seizure free for almost a year!
