Dr. Karl Echiverri, MD

My daughter see’s Dr. Echiverri for a stroke. My daughter is disabled and he is the only doctor I trust with her. We absolutely love him. He does not rush you while he is in the room with you, listens to my concerns and I like the fact that he is conservative and thinks all of his options for treatment through. Anytime that I have left a message for him, he has always responded in a timely manner. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an awesome neurologist.

Dr. Echiverri is a wonderful neurologist. I first came to him in 2023 after seeing a neurologist at Methodist for neuropathy that completely dismissed my symptoms as anxiety. Dr. Echiverri is always on time, I never have to wait, I never feel rushed, and he always takes his time with me. He listens to me, and we found the source of my neuropathy after doing a skin biopsy. He has also gone above and beyond to try to find the cause of my neuropathy (unfortunately, we haven't found it so far). When I suggest a test to draw, he listens to me, and he does it. He is empathetic and really wants to find out what is happening to me. He always does a neuro exam, and we discuss how my symptoms are progressing. He is very knowledgable in my condition and is fighting the insurance to get expensive treatment approved. He has a very long wait to get appointments, but he often has last minute cancellations so get on the wait list. I highly recommend Dr. Echiverri for anyone struggling with neuropathy.

Most visits he was staring at the computer screen. Straight up refused to believe me when I described my symptoms. Said he was helping me but did the bare minimum. Called me one time and accused me of abusing my meds, but I was simply confused with another patient. He went off of me at like 7:45 am on a Friday morning. For no reason lol. Completely misdiagnosed me. Told me I have no brain damage for two years straight, and I do in fact have brain damage along with several other concerning things. Go to Methodist.

I would advise against seeing this doctor. I went to him with worsening neurological symptoms. He had no idea of how to help me. Instead of trying to find me someone else who might be able to help, he took me on a road to nowhere while my symptoms got worse and worse. I was more like a science experiment than a person. Find a doctor that takes the health of their patients seriously. He does not.
