Disappointing ER visit
Dr. Huesgen had horrible bedside manners. I did not see him until they tried to discharge us until AFTER I had requested further testing be done. He tried to say he was 'in the corner' when we first arrived. If this is true, he never introduced himself to us or made it known he was there.Dr. Huesgen also talked down to me when I questioned my husbands undiagnosed issue he was having. He made me feel like our concerns were not validated. When I requested further testing to try and find the root of my husbands serious heart issue, he refused to do further testing and said it was 'not necessary.' We were sent home with a scary heart condition and advised to reach out to our PCP and follow up with a neurologist. I would never recommend my family or friends see this doctor and am very disappointed in the health care system. We should not have to advocate or fight for health treatment.

Falsification of information in chart
After a very disappointing visit at MU ER, my son (patient) and I left before being seen by ANY physician. We have never had to do this before. However, when we looked at his patient portal visit report, Dr Huesgen, the attending physician for that shift, placed the following information in the report 3 days AFTER the ER visit. Attestation by Huesgen MD, Karl W. 'I personally saw and evaluated the patient...... I approved of the medical decision making at the time of patient care.' I find this very concerning and I am pursuing all avenues to have this behavior corrected through appropriate personnel and professional means.
