Dr. Karl Wagenhauser, MD

I experienced him go out of his way to ensure I received good treatment and final resolution when specialist could not find the time to help on short notice. He was receptive to all my concerns and the cost of care. As a prior provider of health care in the area, I've seen him extend compassion when it was needed most. Everyone has certain things they don't appreciate about their provider and they are generally not significant. I've had an ER physician treat me the way another reviewer claimed, but have not seen Dr. Wagenhauser behave as such. I've seen other clinicians always respond because they trusted his judgement. For me, in a critical situation, this is who I'd want to wake up to knowing he took care of me.

Avoid this doctor if you can. In a critical care situation at the ER it's unfortunate that you have no choice. Sad that Hot Springs has such a poor quality Dr. in our health care system. This condescending doctor has absolutely NO compassion for his patients. He does not take the time to ask the questions he needs to make an accurate assessment . Elderly people deserve better, beware . Push back if he refuses admission and your are in dire need of critical medical treatment. He doesn't care!

Took on look at my son and dismissed us after being in the room for less than 1 minute. Looked in his ears and mouth and sent us home. He was later admitted to hospital across town.

Excellent doc. Cares for people. Classy and compassionate!
