Dr. Karl Westenfelder, MD

Westenfelder was rude, belligerent, and condescending. Rather than answer my questions regarding urinary retention, he spent the whole appointment berating me for having chosen a treatment (TULSA) over the ones he is selling! (surgery, chemo and radiation) He blamed my urinary retention (UR) on the TULSA procedure even though I had documented verbally and in writing that the UR had begun two years prior to said procedure and had become acute two months prior to the TULSA. Rather than being interested in my health Westenfelder clearly came to the appointment with his own egotistical agenda. I wouldn't let him treat me if he was the last urologist on the planet. Save yourself the waste of time and go elsewhere.

Dr. Westenfelder is great! He is always helpful and takes time to listen in a caring way. I have gone to him for years.

Friendly but professional.

Dr. Westenfelder was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and skilled in providing a necessary surgical procedure. He is personable, putting one at ease, and it's obvious that he generally cares about his patients. I have been a patient of his for approximately 8 years and feel very fortunate that I found him.

Arrived early for appointment and was moved into exam room quickly. Wait time for doctor was minimal and actual visit was great. Dr. West fielder was courteous, clear in directions and what follow-up would be taken.

I had an urgent medical appointment with Dr. Westenfelder. During and after the time, I felt safe that he fully understood my concern and helped me to understand options. Immediately I noticed he made me comfortable and knew my history. I was very nervous but after meeting him for the first time, I felt comfortable with him and his knowledge and experience. His nurse was nice and the front office, even though very very busy took care of all of us in minutes. Extra kudos to the scheduler who worked hard to find me an appointment.

Dr Westenfelder is a thorough and patient physician. I trust him with my health and well being. I am confident in his ability to diagnose and treat any issue that my future may hold. His staff is courteous and friendly, which keeps my anxiety at bay.

Got me in and out quickly explaining everything

Dr. Westenfelder has been my urologist for the past eight years. He is knowledgable, professional, proactive, and a great listener.

This was an annual visit and a followup to an annual blood test that once again showed an undetectable PSA. I told Dr. Karl that I felt like I was coming to see an old friend. He explained that I'm one of the fortunate ones whose PSA has remained undetectable for, I think he said, eight years since my cancer was discovered and my prostate was removed by him. As I get older, good news is great news!
