Dr. Karthik Sheka, MD

I was absolutely appalled to hear the way my parents were treated by this physician. He told my father that his heart attack “wasn’t real” without offering any alternative explanations, when more than five cardiologist said the exact opposite when he was in the hospital. Dr. Sheka also said that our family history of heart attacks was insignificant because they died in their late 60s and they were “lucky to have lived that long.” Absolutely terrible thing to say to my father who is currently in his late 60s and working hard every day to extend his life. I am a physician assistant so I am familiar with the standard of care and I know that my parents’ concerns were not adequately addressed. Save yourself from the frustration and see somebody else!!

Dr. sheka opened a stent in my heart which had become blocked causing me to suffer a heart attack. He explained the procedure and visited me twice in the ICU to see my progress an explained the changes and reasons for new meds. I highly recommend Dr. Sheka for heart catherization at LVHN

I cannot say enough great things about Dr Sheka. I'd like to first THANK him for the excellent service he provides to his patients. His bedside mannerisms are extraordinary, he is patient, detailed & answers questions & responds quickly. He has been treating my husband for over 6 yrs. We first met him in the ER at Pocono Medical my husband arrived by ambulance with severe pulmonary edema with no knowledge of heart failure. In my opinion he saved his life on a few occasions. He is the best!

Dr. Sheka is a very thorough doctor. He takes time to explain answers to your questions and is very knowledgeable and informing. I would recommend him to my family and friends at any time. I'm glad he is my Dr. I am comfortable that I am going to receive good medical care here.
