After an hour of waiting, did not see her.
I can’t speak directly to Dr Backus’s qualifications or bedside manner as I never actually got to meet her. I scheduled an evaluation for my 3 year old four weeks ahead of time. We were the second appointment of the day at 8:30. We arrived at 8:15, were shown quickly to a room, but then at 9:15 told she would not be coming in for another 30 minutes. Unfortunately waiting an hour and a half with a 3 year old at 9 months pregnant was not an option for me. The office staff was very gracious but we will find a different physician that values their patient’s time as well as their own.

Amazing!
We live in Port Orange. When our daughter broke her finger we were referred to Dr. Backus and boy am I glad. She was amazing with our daughter and what a breath of fresh air she has a great personality, is very knowledgeable and actually talked to us like normal human beings in language we understand! So happy to know if our daughter breaks another bone that we know who to see!

Dr. Backus is not only an amazing doctor, but a great human being. She is a breath of fresh air! She treats her patients with respect and takes her time to look into what is going on with them. She has impeccable follow up and will take her time to do what she said she would do. I am beyond thankful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone. Her staff is also amazing!
