Rude, Mean, and behind on current standards
I had an ingrown toenail removed by Dr. Berger. After the surgery the site was infected. It was after hours so I went to my PCP who cleaned it and then followed up with Dr. Berger. She told me 'in all my years of practice I have never had a patient get an infection and who would I trust? My PCP or the person who actually did my surgery?'. After a month or so I had a second follow up wherein I described pain i was still having and she said 'wow. I would hate to see if something really bad happened to you.' Luckily that was my last follow up and I never went back. Months later I still had issues and found out her wound care instructions were no longer the standard or recommended. Additionally, that nail has now grown back in, in pieces. I regret ever going to her. I will have have to have the procedure repeated to hopefully correct this.

Dr. Berger performed surgery on my daughters foot in March of 2018 to remove a bunionette. In August of 2018 x-rays in her office revealed that the foot was still broken. We sought a second opinion. At that time we learned that my daughter would need a second surgery to repair this foot that invoked a very painful bone graph , steel plate and 5 screws. I would not recommend allowing Dr. Berger to operate on you or anyone you love.
