Disappointed
Unprofessional staff, bad attitudes, does not communicate. Problems with filling prescription in a timely manner and mixing them up. Hire a front desk worker that actually likes people. Warfarin is something that has to be refilled. Period. Care about your patients more.

The best!
Dr. Gilliam is honestly the best doctor I’ve ever had! Before seeing her I was overweight and on all sorts of medication for type 2 diabetes and other health issues. She has listened to me, encouraged me, offered advice on what has worked for her in regards to diet an exercise. Since seeing her I’ve lost over 100 lbs and have come off of about half the meds I was taking. I feel so much healthier rather than just masking my problems with more meds. She is very kind, patient, and overall I would recommend her to anyone!

Doesn’t listen or communicate
I was looking for a new primary care physician and chose Dr. Gilliam. The first visit was fine - she seemed to be listening and we did all of my checkup work together. Right before that visit I had had a severe asthma attack and asked her to please listen to my lungs. I also mentioned I had a sinus infection. She dismissed both of these and said my lungs were fine and I had no infection. After leaving her office, I literally coughed for two days and had to go to the ER. I called her office after and left a very thorough message. No one returned my calls or communicated with me at all. Forward two more weeks and I’m still coughing and wheezing, I have a fever and cannot breathe. I call again to see her and in that visit she again tells me my lungs are fine. Two days later I’m on the phone with my old dr and she calls for chest X-ray- I have pneumonia and probably have had it this whole time! I wanted to trust her but I don’t. She needs to listen, learn and care to be effective.

She mixed up prescriptions several times between my son and I, she submitted the wrong body parts for physical therapy, would not listen when telling her what works and doesn't work from previous doctors in the past 20 years, wanted me to pay for her to run the same tests and procedures I already had in the past from previous doctors just because she did not personally diagnose me with the conditions even though I gave her a copy of my records showing the tests and previous diagnosis. Hopefully she will mature to be a better health care provider in the future and live up to her oath as she gets more experience, but at this time I cannot recommend her due to her multitude of errors.

Very professional, and willing to listen to your concerns. Doesn’t mind discussing options for treatment and insurance coverage. I’ve recommended her several times to family and friends.
