Great Doctor.
Dr. Kamholz has always been a good doctor. While things have changed since COVID, I actually prefer that she is the one who sees me know opposed to a PA. When sick I usually can get in pretty fast for an appointment. I find her to be very thorough and provide me with what I need. The one thing I do not like is dealing with Cathy at the front desk, as I just find her to be very unhappy and often rude to the patients. She has been their for years. My hope with Dr. Kamholz changing offices and joining Good Advocate, that I may not have to deal with Cathy.

Sometimes Disapointing
During the past few years Dr. Kamholz has increasing disengaged. Her desire to connect the dots and reflect broadly on patient health issues is lower than previously. As well, her reception team is most interested in their own convenience. Dr. Kamholz has recently migrated her practice to the Advocate Medical Group (imminent retirement?). I'm looking elsewhere.

Dr. Kamholz really takes the time to give a complete physical examine, answer all your questions, and, best of all, she is very motivational regarding preventative health care measures.

Dr. Kamholz has been my doctor for 20 years. She is thoughtful, supportive and an excellent doctor. She takes my concerns seriously and doesn't hesitate to do whatever research and tests are necessary to find out what is wrong.

Dr. Kamholz is a wonderful doctor. She takes time to talk with her patients, is thorough and professional. I feel she really wants to know me as a person to better care for me. Her staff is always friendly. Nice to find a doctor and office where I’m not just the next “15 minute patient slot”.

You are not going to find a MD who will take more time with you then Dr. Kamholz. I have been her patient for almost 20 years, and the 5 stars I give her are from one-to-one interaction, my current excellent health and my trust in her advice and guidence.

Dr Kamholz has been my primary physician for over ten years. From our first visit, she has taken her time, she listens and really hears you. She’s encouraging and she still takes lots of time on your visits. I would not see anyone else. We are moving to Wisconsin in a year or so and I will still drive down to see her. Would very highly recommend. My husband and son also now see her too.

I'm incredibly disappointed. There is a difference between friendly & fake. My recent exchanges are not authentic; there is no genuine concern in my visits. Superficial. Dismissive to preventative-care and limited mindset to nutritional well-being. Lacks listening skills to the extent of stubborn. PA is nervous, spastic & lacks focus. When questioned, becomes more scattered. (Would help if she had the correct chart in front of her for my visit.) I've just lost confidence & do not trust anymore.

I have been going to Dr Kamholtz for over 10 years and have always been very happy. They always find time to get me in when I am sick or have an issue. I find Dr Kamholtz to be very reasonable in her care and what she recommends. She is very personable and remembers what was going on in my life from the last visit. I find her staff to be helpful and willing to have the dr call me if needed to discuss test results or treatments. I have recommended Dr Kamholz to many other family & friends.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kamholz for 12 years. She is kind, thorough, funny, and always willing to take the time to listen and explain a condition/procedure. Her physician's assistant, Kathy Bliler, is also great. One of them is usually available to see me within a day or two of my call if a matter is urgent. I also enjoy the other staff. The receptionist may seem a bit curt to some, but once you get to know her, she is a sweetheart and very efficient. Highly recommend this practice!

Ten years ago, this practice was recommended to my family by my favorite surgeon at Good Shepherd Hospital after I was unhappy with the attitude of my G.P. at the time. Dr. Kamholz is thorough, knowledgable, very helpful and takes time to explain things. We would highly recommend her. We've always felt welcome and have been accommodated on short notice when necessary.

Have seen Dr. Kamholz for about 15 years. Although she has always been friendly and kind, her absolute refusal to make a personal phone call, even to give test results requiring further evaluation, are no longer acceptable to me. This task is always handed off to a staff person who is often times unqualified to answer any questions. Office visits are required for every kind of communication. Her receptionist is rude, snarky and unprofessional.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Kamholz?
As other reviewers have said, rude and unhelpful receptionist. Limited insurance plans accepted. Require an appointment to get an order for routine test and then another appointment to get test results even if the results are negative. Overall feeling is that this practice is about the money. Kamholz does not remember you from one appointment to another and is even confused about which tests she has ordered. The staff is equally incompetent and will argue with you even when you are right.
