Confusing
Seems like she was distracted by issues not related to my old & on-going Neuropathy. I walked out feeling like my life and medical care were not important to her and not focused on her Neuro specialty. If your needs and goals are for managing and hoping to maintain or improve quality of life with your condition, you probably would be disappointed going here.

MG
I have been a Patient of Dr Ruzhansky since 2018. I have MG and she has exceptional expertise in this disease. I see her twice a year for Check ups and she is truly interested in my quality of life with this debilitating illness . She exams me at every visit to determine the status of my condition . Then spends quality time answering questions that I ask . She is truly versed in all the new Drugs being developed for MG Patients and if I would qualify . Additionally , in between visit , I live 100 miles away , she and her staff respond promptly to any issue I email them about . MG is a difficult disease and she is very empathetic about her patients condition . She also recommends joining the MGFA which is the MG foundation that provides current updates on MG and is a valuable resource for MG Patients. It’s very important for MG patients to establish a good Dr - Patient relationship and she provides that ability . I recommend her highly .

Don't Waste Your Time
Dec 2022. After waiting months for this appointment, this provider had absolutely no interest in assessing my symptoms and establishing a treatment plan. Her indifference and superior attitude was appalling. I attempted to inform her of how my symptoms impacted my quality of life but her only interest was in sending me off to the next provider. I am an RN and I rarely see a physician who has absolutely no interest in helping a patient. Don't waste your time with someone who appears to be highly educated but in reality has minimal ability or interest in providing a diagnosis to a patient who is experiencing neurological symptoms.

Disappointing Appointments
Dr. Ruzhansky was the third neurologist I saw for an unidentified muscle disorder that I have been dealing with for the last 2 1/2 years. Just a few moments into the initial appointment she definitively stated that I did not have MG. That decision was based on the fact that I did not have the most severe symptoms of MG & all blood work came back negative as well. Ruling out MG was fine however I would like to know what I do have & is there a way to treat. After 2 visits, blood work, and a muscle test, all she said is that I need PT, OT, and a pain management clinic. There was no compassion, no way forward was offered, and on the final visit she said she was done & there was nothing she could do. I suppose she is a good doctor in her field but she needs to be in a research area of work. She missed the course on how to listen & interact with patients. My wife & I spent a lot of time & money on food, lodging, & gas to try to find out what is wrong with me.

Dr. Ruzhansky is now with M.U.S.C in Charleston and I saw her in their neighboring Mt neighboring Mt Pleasant off Pleasant office in April 2018. She was very knowledgeable about my specific problem, addressed it clearly, was patient in addressing my questions ( I am 75), gave me a helpful "exit note" and was, overall, very nice. I was seen on time and the "registration/check out:" process was painless as well. I recommend Dr Ruzhansky without hesitation

Saw Dr. Ruzhansky for my neuropathy. My condition continues to worsen, especially over the past year. Dr. Ruzhansky is the 15th Doctor I have seen about my neuropathy and she is definitely the most knowledgeable of the bunch. She performed a thorough exam, ordered blood work and fully explained what is going on with me. She even provided me the information in writing, which I appreciated. She is obviously a very, very smart cookie. She was pleasant and engaging. I highly recommend her.
